Unablt to connect remotely to shares with readynas remote

I have readynas remote installed on my ipad, and I can connect to the readynas as a user, but it does not connect remotely to the shares - I get an error message saying "could not establish remote connection to ReadyNAS." I have followed the ipad/iphone instructions, and left the FTP username and passowrd as anonymous etc. Not sure what the issue is??

Does it work if you're on the same LAN as the ReadyNAS?

Have you updated ReadyNAS Remote on the NAS to the latest version?
