Upgrading ReadyNAS Duo from 2x1TB to 2x2TB

Hi,

I have a older ReadyNAS Duo and recently backed up my data onto a USB drive, and replaced the drives with two new 2TB drives. The readyNAS performed well, and synced the new drives. BUT although the system sees the drives as 2TB capable, it shows I only have ~1TB of capacity to write to.

Here is where I see it:

Volumes Screen
Disk Space:

860 GB (92%) of 925 GB used

Lower in the screen:
Ch 1 : Seagate ST2000DM001-9YN164 [1862 GB] 1859 GB allocated
Ch 2 : Seagate ST2000DL003-9VT166 [1862 GB] 1859 GB allocated

Seems like it recognizes the drives size but why is it only showing X out of 925GB used, instead of X out of 1859 GB?

I have rebooted once already.

Could you download your logs (Status > Logs > Download all logs), extract the zip contents and post the contents of partition.log?

Hi,

I have exact same problem, except with Samsung drives. Did you find a solution? Running latest firmware (4.1.8).

Thank You.

Any update on this? Was going to buy 2 ST2000DM001's tomorrow morning to replace 2 failed drives 😞
