ReadyDLNA now supports language-specific strings to the DLNA clients. At the moment, only English and German are supported.
If you would like to contribute another system language (anything already listed in FrontView>System>Language), please quote my next post and add your language strings to the template file. In the future, we will try and incorporate them into the firmware.
I agree with my Swedish friend above. Context matters. Norwegian, Swedish and Danish are really close languages, but it seems we've interpreted a few phrases slightly differently. I call a video "video", not "film" (which would be more appropriate translation for "movie"). Also, there are slight grammatical differences between "Vise mapper" and "Vis mapper" (Browse Folders). Maybe we should agree on common terms when possible?

Almost all of these strings are what currently show up as English strings while browsing the content directory. So, instead of seeing eg. "Browse Folders" on your DLNA client, we'd like to show your a localized string, based on the language selected in the Frontview->System->Language tab.
Browse Folders are translated to (Danish): Vis Mapper. "Vis" means "show", not "browse". The correct translation would be (imo): "Gennemse" (browse through) or perhaps "søg" (seek). Correspondingly, in Norwegian the same mistranslation exists - but I am not sure of the spelling in Norwegian. Perhaps "Scan" should then be "Indexer" (imperative form of "index") rather than "søg", unless scan refers to a seek/find function
Also I agree to the Norwegian interpretation of Video vs. Movie (Video vs Film in Scandinavian). Video should be Video and Movie should be Film (Danish and Norwegian are the same for these words, Swedish too, except for the plural form (Film in DK and NO, Filmer in SE). However, I am not sure if what you (Netgear) actually mean is Videos or Movies.... 😉

It's very hard to translate "browse" directly into Norwegian and still be meaningful. I believe the most common translation used would still be "Vis" (Show). Now, Google Translate suggest "bla" for "browse", and I suppose that could be correct in certain contexts as well, but I don't think it would work here.
