http/s access not working for shares

Hello,

I am trying to publish the standard "documents" share over HTTP/S for internal access. When I configure the Network Access for HTTP on the Share, and then try to access via https://nasname/documents I get a standard 404 error. When I try to access https://nasname/shares I get a standard 404 error. When I access the admin console via https://nasname I can access without issues. Finally, I created a new share folder and configured it only for http access, and unfortunately I cannot access it. Lastly SMB and DNLA are working fine.

What should I look at to troubleshoot this issue?

Here's my setup:
Readynas 314
OS 6.1.9

thx

What about https://nasname/Documents ?

The path is case-sensiive.

Re: http/s access not working for shares

Thanks, now of course they work! That was a bit obvious.....

Ok, the only remaining issue I have is accessing https://nasname/Shares. In reviewing the Shares via the admin tool, I don't see this folder explicitly recreated and shared. Is this share still available in the newer version of the OS?

FYI....I used to have a Readynas 600 (original model) so working through some upgrade pains/understanding......

thx

Re: http/s access not working for shares

"Shares" never was a real folder, even on the ReadyNAS 600 - it is just part of the path name used for https. Unfortunately OS6 doesn't have an equivalent for users, though you can browse everything from the web admin ui (which you can't do on the OS 4 systems).
