Hello kappa11,

For guide on how to perform USB boot recovery please go here. Do you have backup of the data save on the NAS?

RAID 0 has no redundancy, so backups are more even more important if you use it.

In general, RAID is not enough to keep your data safe.  Backups (on other devices) are needed to do that.

Re: lcd panic and usb key not recognize

If this has been going on for some months, you should probably engage paid support.

Does the system boot up in tech support mode?

Re: lcd panic and usb key not recognize

yes i think , is that all usb keys are compatible to start on ?

before seeing a paid supporti would already try to do a factory reset, and then pay the support because of an update 6.7.3 that did not work that would really bother me.

before doing a factory reset i would have liked to try to boot on a usb key or other.

sorry for my poor english

thanks for your reply

Re: lcd panic and usb key not recognize

Not all USB keys are compatible.  Based on posts here, older keys are more likely to work.

I understand that paying for support would bother you.  But wouldn't losing your data bother you more?  Note a factory reset will destroy your data.

Re: lcd panic and usb key not recognize

pay the support because of an update bug ??!! the nas work very well before the update 6.7.3, it would be a mistake on my part i would understand, especially that the bug has happened to several people , i will try to find older usb keys and try this before a factory reset

Re: lcd panic and usb key not recognize

It's your choice of course, and FWIW I don't work for Netgear.

Does https://nas-ip-address/fwbroker respond? (use the real ip address of the NAS of course).

Re: lcd panic and usb key not recognize

You could possibly try booting off USB into a tech support mode like state.

Re: lcd panic and usb key not recognize

is that the OS reinstall of the boot menu causes the data to be lost on the disks 2,3 and 4 ?

thanks for your reply

A factory reset will destroy data.

An OS reinstall generally won't.  It will reset the admin password, reset the network configuration to DHCP, and turn off volume quotas.

Re: lcd panic and usb key not recognize

Glad that resolved it. I thought it might help. It's got some changes that mean USB Boot Recovery will work more often than before.

Re: lcd panic and usb key not recognize

yes i took the same usb key already tried with usbrecovery V2 t14 but the boot does not launch ( for me an unrecognized usb key problem), with the version usbrecovery.v2.0.R15-T3 you gave me the boot started in 5 seconds

thank you again for your help
