EX6100 range extender cannot set up
I have a EX6100 WiFi Range extender which I cannot get to work. I tried setting it to extender and then pushing the WPS button and then the WPS button on the modem but the green light just keeps blinking and never goes to solid green and eventually shuts off. Tried multiple times. I tried the "genie smart setup" however my computer does not see any "EX6100_NETGEAR_2GEXT" or "5GEXT" connections available so I am unable to connect to the genie smart setup. Not sure why this is happening. Can anyone help? How do I get my extender to work? I even tried resetting the unit to factory settings and tried everything again (and again). I am not very computer savvy so this is all very confusing to me. I am using Windows 10 and Microsoft Explorer internet. Thanks

Re: EX6100 range extender cannot set up
Is this a new purchase?
Did you try the factory reset procedure on page 39 of the manual ( http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/EX6100/EX6100_UM_27Oct2015.pdf )

Re: EX6100 range extender cannot set up
My sister purchased it about a year ago and I just bought it from her. She could never get it to work correctly so I thought I would try. Yes I did the factory reset several times and it is still not working.

Re: EX6100 range extender cannot set up
It could be that the extender that she purchased was defective.
