My wrn 1000 router keeping drop off line. help please

HI I have this netgear wrn 1000 router keeps drop off line, I have to turn off it to get back online, Can anyone tell me what is wrong? Can I download firm ware to fix this problem?

Both wired or wireless ?

If ONLY wirelerss is used, test with computer wired to the router as well
