Creating a new thread to focus on this one issue. I don't believe this is a general slow wifi/slow internet issue, but is clearly Circle related. All tests done on wired connection via my Netgear R7000. I have a cable internet plan advertised as 150/15. This was all done on firmware 1.0.9.14, and I did a factory reset and setup my options yesterday fresh. I have never enabled QoS or Web Traffic. I do have IPv6 configured and it works. Circle was enabled now for 24 hours. Speed slowly sinks down to 37Mbps. I see this speedtest: Turn off Circle via webpage on router and hit apply. This saves quickly, no reboot of router. Now I see full speed, and see how solid the download speed is? I turn Circle back on, hit apply and I get this speed test. All tests run inside 2 minutes: Turn Circle back off, and retest. Going to leave it off for 24 hours now to test: Looking for any support from Netgear if this is expected, and if it is fixable. Willing to help test if needed, as Cirlce seems like a great feature.20KViews2likes43CommentsLimit daily internet time for websites, apps, and more #Video #Circle

Would like to see the R8000P router (AC4000) add Circle by Disney... the website already says it does but it does not. Also would like to see these forms add this same router to the "Model" field above since only the R8000 is there currently!13KViews2likes2CommentsWhat is Circle and why should I use it with my NETEGAR router?
Circle is a parental control technology that helps you monitor your children’s devices that are connected to your network. While you can buy Circle devices separately, you can buy certain NETGEAR routers with Circle technology already built in. Circle offers more parental control features than NETGEAR Standard Parental Controls. With Circle, you can set bedtimes, view browsing history, set time limits, and reward your children by setting later bedtimes and longer time limits. Three service options are available to NETGEAR customers who have Circle enabled on their routers. When you subscribe to Premium and add Circle Go, you can monitor your children’s devices even when they aren’t connected to your home network or when they’re using 4G LTE. I tried enabling Circle with Disney. I have seen a 30-35% drop in bandwidth when in use. If I switch back to using OpenDNS performance reverts to normal levels. Anyone else noticed this? I am running the latest firmware. More details: I have a 200 Mbps connection and using http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest I can see that I am getting what I pay for when OpenDNS is enabled. When I switch to using Circle, bandwidth during the speedtest drops to 130-140 Mbps.8.3KViews1like7CommentsReadycloud windows 10 App 1.16.1297.525
I have Windows 10 operating two computers. There was a recent Windows 10 update (July 2017) from Windows. I made the Windows 10 update to these two computers last week and the previous version of ReadyCLOUD for Backup and Sync on these two computers. The previous version of ReadyCLOUD (prior to 1.16.1297.525) was working just fine on the Windows 10 update. Today, my ReadyCloud App said there was a new update (1.16.1297.525) and I proceed with the ReadyCLOUD App update, however, during the install process I got the following message on both computers: "Error Opening file for writing" "Program Files (x86)\NETGEAR\Remote\Bin\Incomservice.dll" Now what do I do to get past this Error in Windows 10 and get the ReadyCLOUD to install on my two computers?7.3KViews1like12CommentsCircle iOS App Cannot Auth using PIN - SMS sends me a PIN that Won't Work
I recently updated my firmware on my R8000 that supports Circle. I got the iOS application, enabled Circle, setup all the devices and had great success with it for a few days. I made an adjustment to some IP assignments in the advanced router settings on the NetGear because I wanted some devices to have permanant IP's. I applied the changes without issue and after the router came back online, devices got their new assigned IP's and all was well... Except Circle - my Circle app on iOS could no longer manage and couldn't find my Circle device so I can no longer see anything in the Circle App. I rebooted the router per recomendation from help documentation and then the circle App detected my router again, but asked me for a PIN to authenticate. I entered the pin I setup on Circle and it did not work, i tried 2 other PINs that I guess it could be but no luck. It has a "Send Pin VIA SMS" so I chose that it text'ed me a PIN i've never seen before, which is strange, but I tried it anyway and it didn't work either. So somehow I'm locked out of my circle account. I went to the Circle web site for support and they sent me to netgear. Circle explained I could create a support issue on a device without a serial number, and then choose "Circle" and then I could get help from them. Netgear asked for my router info and since the 90 day warrenty has expired they closed my ticked without a discussion and told me I'd need to pay them $49 for support. There is no way I can tell to perform a password reset / PIN reset with Circle and I can find no way to get into my account any more. This is increadibly frustrating and there's no documentation online that seems to have any details on how to deal with this issue. Would really appreciate any help getting back into Circle on my NetGear router.Solved6.8KViews1like4CommentsDisney Circle on Orbi RBK50
Initially excited to see circle integration, figured that we can finaly do something that every other modern router has built in. Time limits on browsing for certain devices and some go beyond that feature set. Since if you buy the circle hardware from best buy for $99 you get the following with no subscription fee; Circle pairs wirelessly with your home Wi-Fi and allows you to manage every device on your network. Using the Circle app, families can create unique profiles for each family member. From here, kids will have a connected experience that is designed just for them. Time Limits, BedTime, Filter, Rewards, Pause, OffTime, Usage (note - these are not premium features) However, with netgear circle you only get filtering, pause and history (log) - the rest are premium features you can purchase additional functionallity for a subcription fee. And this subscription is only for wifi, if you want offline then you pay another subscription fee for that. So with disney Circle on netgear you get literally nothing that netgear already had with their genie app and opendns, and even less than that was capable of. I think this is a big fail here Netgear. please stop using this as a sales platform and give me the same features that are built into other routers. The addition is only a marketting button for disney circle premium. Please correct me if I got this wrong.6KViews3likes3CommentsCircle loses Premium
Hello! I have the Circle setup, and it seems to have lost the premium features. When I’m in the Circle app, and I restore iTunes purchase it says it can find the subscription but when I look in iTunes subscriptions it says it’s active and will renew December 1. Thoughts?Solved5.7KViews0likes8Comments
