Newly installed AX1800 Wifi6 R6700AX (latest software as of 04/13/24) connection to an Amazon Kindle Fire 9-10gen (OS 7.3.2.9) is unsuccessful or inconsistant. Either the Kindle continously cycles trying to connect to the router and bounces between "connecting" and "saved" with no connection. On other occasions, the Kindle does connect, but after a few minutes, drops the connection with the message "no internet" then after a minute reconnects, but will continously drop and reconnect. When I look at the Netgear app, it show the Kindle as a connected device although if I turn off the Kindle and do a refresh on the Netgear app, it still show up as a connected device. The issue stays the same whether SID is broadcasted or not. All other devices, Amazon TV, Roku TV and streaming stick, TCL TV, and cell phones all connect and work properly. If I replace the AX1800 with my old Netgear N300/WPR200 router, all works well, just slower. Note that I am using the same SID name, password and security encryption on both Netgear devices but only have had one online and powered on at the same time. If I go with the SID and password that came as the default for the Netgear AX1800 device, I have the same issue with my Kindle. Any ideas?Netgear RAX43 - No Errors, Ethernet Works Fine, Wifi has no internet
This is an odd one. The router is on the latest firmware. Ethernet is working great, but devices connected via wifi periodically have no internet connectivity. Rebooting the router fixes it for 3 - 24 hours each time, but that's obviously not a long-term solution. The router reports that it's online and that internet connectivity is good. There don't seem to be any errors to address or troubleshoot. Any ideas where I can go from here?SolvedNighthawk AX5400 setup?
HI i just upgraded from the cax30 after the issue it just had and decided to not go the router combo any more as its just to much of a hassle.. i currently have a 1.2g speed plan with xfinity, my current setup is a cm2000 modem and a nighthawk ax5400 router. Im a streamer and wife works from home we have about 20 connected devices with two being hardwired with a cat8. So first i would like to know about setting up the router, i noticed on the settings and advance setting a lot of the options are not enabled by default. is there any that i can enable for a added benefit or speed gain? second im also receiving speeds of around 100/40 on 2.4ghz wifi and around 400/40 on 5ghz wifi any help would be very appreciatedRAX30 WPA3 Google Nest MIni G2 Cant Connect
Hi all, I have the RAX30 Nighthawk Router. Have had a few quirks with it, which I think I have ironed out now. I am currently running my WIFI network as 2 seperate networks. One on 2.4Ghz with an SSID and also the 5Ghz one on another SSID. I am currently running WPA2-PSK[AES] for the security. I would like to take it to WPA3-PSK + WPA2-PSK [AES] but when I have that encryption enabled I cannot get the Google Nest Mini Gen 2's I have to connect to the WIFI at all. I have tried multiple combinations of encryption and seperate bands or with SMART CONNECT without sucess. My smart light bulbs appear to have no issue connecting to the WPA3 and with SMART CONNECT enabled. What are peoples experiences with the NightHawk RAX30 and Google Devices? Thanks in advance. Hi, I have a RAX54 and I'm able to get it setup and configured but I run into a weird problem where I can no longer access the routerlogin.net page after I've completed the setup and make a few updates. The changes that I make are: 1) switch the network to use 10.x instead of 192.x. 2) configure about 6-7 devices with static LAN addresses. 3) update the SSID names and passwords. 4) configure port forwarding and port triggering on a few items (for Fios). After I make those changes and I get connected to the Internet, I can no longer access routerlogin.net, routerlogin.com or the IP address of the router. For all, I get connection reset. If I use curl, I see this error: curl -I https://10.0.0.1/start.htm curl: (28) SSL/TLS connection timeout To 'fix' it, I can shutdown the router, unplug the internet cable, turn the router back on and I can access the UI again. Once I plug the internet cable back in, then it's accessible again. Does anyone have any suggestions for what might be interfering with accessing the start page?Is the Wifi 6E support team alive?
I have spent four hours on hold for the team that supports the 6E wifi routers. Nobody on other support teams can tell me how long their wait time is - or if they are answering their phone at all. I am concerned that this team might be MIA. Did everyone quit? Was there a natural disaster? Perhaps their internet has been down for days? I hope someone at Netgear can find a way to reach them to see if they are all OK. It is very concerning for a company to lose all contact with one of their departments for days on end.New Nighthawk RAX43
I installed my new Nighthawk RAX43 as replacement for my old Sitecom router and for for some reason it is much slower than the old one. Even though it is placed at the same location (tried a few other location too.) The Netgear dashboard tells me the speed of the router is very good. (I assume he tests the speed between the router and my cable modem.) Went to sit next to the router with my mobile and did a speedtest and it was barely 13Mb/s... (My old router had 98Mb/s in comparison) What could it be? (Is Armor maybe slowing everything down?) Had to re-install the old modem for now...I hope anyone has an idea on how to proceed... Kind Regards, Wimrouter r6700ax - no wan connection (tech support issue)
Spectrum/Charter is the service provider. I am using a rented modem. Network cable comes from modem to r6700ax - then downstream ports goto all other places in the house. If I plug my MacBook Pro directly into the cable modem - I get an IP address via DHCP (directly wired connection) (this is via a USB-TypeC-Ethernetadapter) If I unplug the MacBook pro and plug the same cable directly into the nether r6700ax - no joy, no connection. Netgear box constantly reports 0.0.0.0 as the WAN (intenet) IP address Which indicates to me - the Modem is not responding to DHCP requests, or what the router receives is not acceptable. What I do not have is the ability to "sniff" the traffic between the boxes - but it is as if the Charter/Spectrum box is not responding to DHCP requests. I am stuck - Charter/Spectrum says: If it works with your computer plugged in - they are done - the system works, nothing more for them to do - data connection works at their data port. and the problem is in my boxes (actually, your netgear boxes). Yes, I have power cycled everything. Yes, I have validated the cable _ same cable between my Mac and the modem In more technical terms: the "link is up" at the 1gbit ethernet level, but the DHCP portion is not.Can I Bridge my RAX70 to my RAXE300?
I can't find any options in setup for my RAX70 to put it into Bridge Mode. I bought the RAX70 while I waited for my backordered RAXE300 to come in and it did a fantastic job as a wireless router, however the signal is weak on the far side of my house, I though it would be great now that I have two units to place them on opposite ends of the house, using the RAXE300 as my primary and the RAX70 as wireless bridge. But I just can't figure out how to make this work. Is this possible? If so, what do I need to do? Thank you.Security Setup for new Nighthawk AX4200
Hola Everyone, I am RLMsDumbLovr22 (Rebecca Lynn Millwards Dumb Lover). I am in need of some assistance in securing my new Nighthawk AX4200. Just purchased this a few weeks back. I am using it for work and need it secured. My wife and I had a different Netgear product, but that product is flawed and cheated too many times to forgive or redeem itself. There seems to be an obvious pattern of the product cheating while out of town and can. It's repetitive issue dates back even before the 2015 Ashley Madison leak, in which it was involved in. Everything/Everyone has flaws but, the worst part is this particular item won't admit its mistakes. I admit I have made mistakes and am flawed as well, but I am still wanting restoration. It took a little time and some professional help from alot of people who care too much to watch me blindly be #2, but the proof is there. Now this original product (est April 2011) changes identities online often as well as physical appearance in hopes of successfully deceiving. I would attach a picture of the original product, but I'm afraid it wouldn't help because it changed appearance often, in an attempt to throw off its scent to anyone looking for answers. Who would like to help out? Thanks #enjoy🖤
