While viewing the "Home" tab in my Netgear Genie app (Version 2.4.32), the Wifi Connection section shows "Stutus Connected" for 7-12 seconds and then switches to "Status Not Connected" for 3-5 seconds". I have the newest Genie app version and updating the R7000 to the newest firmware version (V1.0.9.26). Has anyone else encountered this and if so, did you find a fix?1.6KViews0likes1CommentR7000 after firmware upgrade, Bedtime function in Circle doesn’t function properly anymore.
I have just updated my Netgear R7000 firmware to V1.0.9.26_10.2.31. I have also enabled the Circle(parental guidance) on my Netgear router with bedtime function turned for my kid. After the firmware upgrade, my kid's profile seems acting very strange, such as it immediately said all the time has been all used up and it keeps saying it has been passed his bedtime. I have recreated my kid's user profile from my iPhone Circle application but still, the bedtime isn't working properly. Can someone help, please? Is this firmware not compatible with Circle on my Netgear router?1.8KViews0likes4CommentsR7000 in bridge mode (AP) with Disney Circle
Hello, I have a R7000 router, in bridge mode wich is connected to my ISP supplied modem, a Huawei brand. I need to have the Huawei connected becuase it has a VOIP connection and the R7000 doesnt. I want to use the new Disney Circle, however when I go to connect to the R7000 via the iOS APP it says that I cant connect to the R7000 when it is in AP or Bridge Mode. My question is. How can I use Disney Circle (full paid access) with my current setup. Are then any settings or hardware changes I can do? I know I can remove the Huawei, but I will lose my VOIP.2.5KViews1like3CommentsI need remote support from NETGEAR for a R7000

I had run the Network Speed Test and my speed was showing at about 60% of my ISP rated speed. I was on my iPad Pro running the latest iOS 10.3.3 that was just released 2 weeks ago. Now my ISP was having some problems and my PC's Speed Test (from the ISP's site) was giving me full speed an hour ago when I tested it but it was not a smooth profile on the graph and dropped down occasionally. Thought it might be a good time to REBOOT the router and test that function. I was on my 5Ghz channel when I did that. iPad rebooting actually worked, I was told it could take up to 2 minutes. After a short period the network icon on the top left of the iPad disappeared and then eventually came back. Finally the display changed from the 'reboot screen' to it found the router and was 'searching' for my 2.4Ghz signal. After that, a few seconds later the full normal application screen appeared. So my question is why did the 2.4Ghz message appear? Seeing that had me confused? I didn't see a message for the 5Ghz band? Yes, my iPad can connect to either, but the preferred band is the 5Ghz? At that point I didn't know which band I did connect to. The data IS available but not 'easy' to find. It does not show when I clicked on the router icon which displays the general info. I had to see the DEVICE LIST and then select the left icon for the iPad to see info and then say I was on the 5Ghz band. I think it might be a good idea to show the band on (SSID) on the Device info page. So once the app came back I wanted to TEST my speed. Select that and it ran. I could see the progress around the circle and the word DOWNLOAD as the circle increased to 1/2 the circle and then UPLOAD for the next half. However NO RESULTS, got a message COULD NOT CONNECT???? Huh? Was the data stored somewhere off my iPad? OK, maybe the app needed to be closed and restarted? I did that and restarted the app. Searched for the router found it, and I again tried to do the test. SAME RESULT??? I even TURNED off the iPad and tried again... CAN NOT get results now, could before the REBOOT? See attached screen capture (it seems you can only load ONE picture to a message with the button below?)1.5KViews0likes4CommentsAndroid bypass password not working, windows bypass password is
Hi, don't know if I have the right forum, apolgies in advance. My issue - I have netgear genie on my android, and on my pc. Bypass works on pc. Bypass doesn't work on my android. Both bypass passwords are the same, Message on adroid when I type in bypass password - "The password does not match the user name, please try again." V frustrating, as this works on the PC. Anyone from Netgear able to help with this?3.1KViews0likes1CommentParental controls don't work opendns issue

I opened a support, but got told my 90 days is passed so they won't help me. Basically I have a modem that is missing advertised features and no support. Any help?4.1KViews0likes2CommentsGenie and major shortcomings
Dear Netgear, Your parental controls/Genie have some MAJOR shortfalls. Here is what EVERY parent wants: 1. Able to disable any additional MAC addresses from connecting to the router via Wired or Wireless. Kids are smart these days and can just change their MAC address. If they do this then it should disable them from all internet access. 2. Ability to control parental controls by MAC address (not ip unless you statically assign IP via MAC) 3. In parental controls we should be able to use OpenDNS levels or custom. 4. In parental controls we should NOT have to install software on the child's PC to login or manage the bypass login. This should be controlled via Genie/Router. 5. We need a way to turn off the internet on a timed basis. For instance my daughters need to be off by 8pm, and my son by 10pm. This should be handled again via MAC address not IP, and through Genie/Router. 6. Some parents want time limits. So if there has been activity (major activity) it should count that time against some type of timer... for instance my daughters get 2hrs each on their PC's but my son gets 3hrs. 7. I would love to have the option of a Two-Factor Authentication, especially for remote management. 8. I want to see logs of every denied request each MAC address is doing. If my kid tries to access something like "penthouse" it should log it. Furthermore an option to email or SMS us would be great in this case. If anybody wants to add anything to this discussion please do. Right now I think some of this can happen through Genie/Router but not all. The fact that I have to login to their PC using Genie as admin to enable Bypass user is totally ridiculous. I am pretty sure some teenage programmer thought that was a great idea... certainly nobody with children would ever have built Genie this way. Hello. I am trying to use AirPrint via USB on router. Genie app crashes every time. Using Nighthawk R7000, latest firmware. V1.0.5.64_1.1.88 El Capitan OS, latest version. 10.11.5 Printer driver works fine, prints well when connected directly to MacBookPro via usb. 1. I can see printer online, while Genie app is on. 2. Printing job is being sent hundreds of times (for some reason). No working signs on printer itself. 3. Genie app crashes. Printer goes offline. Did all app read permissions on all available users, as mentioned on other posts. It is expensive router. Is it broke? Please help, it doesn't seem to be as easy to print online as it is writen in manuals. Kind regards, M.7.9KViews0likes22Comments
