Cameras connected to router Via Powerline plugs Kill my internet when turned on.
Right so i have a spicy issue that i cant get my head around and i very much hope a or a multiple of beautiful souls here can help me out with! So lemme throw some deets down! I have some Cameras that hook up to my R7800 via Netgear PL1000 however the second i turn them on, my internet dies. A real nightmare im sure you can imagine! The very second i turn off the powerline plugs. Wham BALAM. Internet is silky smooth again. I drew some pictures to help you visualize the problem! Hello all, Trying to actually set up my router for the ReadyCloud. When I select Ready cloud optionb then goes to a strange page saying "No such file or directory" I even tried by actually setting up a network drive but still same thing, please see screen shots below. Have multiple NETGEAR WiFi routers in office. Prefer to use the office DNS to access them for obvious reasons (e.g., 'PetersWifi' instead of trying to remember IPv4/6 internal addresses like '192.168.245.22', especially since DHCP occasionaly changes the addresses). Unfortunately, calling the embedded admin page on the R7800s by name produces '404' or a bad page (a single digit, usually '0'). The R7800s work if I use the net local IP (sends me to admin login popup). All the other routers (e.g., the R6300s) work as expected regardless of using name, IPv4, or IPv6. Updated to firmware V1.0.2.28, but still fails. 90 day support (these are new routers) requests have produced nothing but a run-around, disrespect, insulting answers ('The Interenet is not available in AP mode.') and refusal to take documentation of the problem. They posted the report to the support web app with the title 'Unable to access the genie page using routerlogin.net' -- so it appears that their '2nd level support expert' doesn't understand basic networking concepts. So i turn to the community for help... anyone? * * * two WIFI access points on this network. Having a few problems with the Network Map. 1) The iOS app does not see the saved changes made on the Netgear R7800 web interface. So its like starting from scratch when you use the iOS mobile app. This would be just an inconvenience if the app would save the changes you make to the Network Map, but it doesn't. Any changes made to the network devices (name, type, etc..) do not get saved when exiting. Not sure if it ever did, but it should at least save the changes and them store them off in iCloud data so if you switch devices from iPhone to iPad they will appear across devices if it can't read the changes from the R7800 directly. 2) In the release notes for Genie v 2.4.3 on iOS it said that the icon for the R7800 was changed to reflect the device. While this is true on the iPad, it is not true for the iPhone version. I have downloaded the latest release 2.4.34 and it is still a problem. I have also tried deleting the app and reinstalling, but this did not fix any of these problems. ZR7800 - Unable to login to OpenDNS / Parental Controls
I have followed the various support instructions but have failed to get Genie to log into OpenDNS. I receive the following: There was an error signing in, please make sure you're connected to the Internet and try again. I managed to log in from my IPAD once and created an OpenDNS account. All seemed fine but now I am unable to access parental controls on Windows or IOS. I have even deleted my OpenDNS account and recreated it using Genie - did not work. I have tried creating an account directly on OpenDNS - did not work. I can however log in directly to the OpenDNS site. Very frustrated as I purchased my R7800 router specifically for the parental controls. Firmware version is: V1.0.2.04
