ReadyNAS Network Storage

Please add Circle to the R9000 Nighthawk X10 AD7200 Quad-Stream Wireless Router. I selected the R9000 because it had enough hardwired ports to connect to my existing wired network and the 2Gbps port agregation was a bonus for connecting to my Netgear ReadyNAS. However, for some reason NetGear has decided to abandon those who purchased their flagship Nighthawk router and are offering Circle only on there less expensive models. Also, just to add some confusion, if you go to the R9000 product page, there are references to Circle on the page under parental controls!21KViews14likes19CommentsAdd Link Aggregation / Bonding / Teaming To Orbi for NAS Setups (IE ReadyNAS)
Many NAS systems with dual LAN / ethernet ports are enterting the home (including Netgear's ReadyNAS). While Orbi has great strenth in both power and simplicity, it's more advanced features are scattered. One of the features missing from Orbi is Link Aggregation / Bonding / Teaming between two different LAN ports hooked up to a NAS system. This setting is available in other Netgear networking hardware and would be a great addition to the Orbi as well. This would allow NAS users on an Orbi setup to link two LAN ports together to balance the load of data coming through the NAS on the network (Using Round-Robin, XOR, etc.) to nearly double the transfer speed of NAS devices. This would greatly enhance the user experience.3.2KViews7likes0CommentsORBI USB HD ReadyShare
For he high cost of the ORBI line, why on Earth haven't you implemented ReadyShare on the USB port to accept an external hard drive?! Completely ridiculous! It's great otherwise, but there are many great systems from other vendors that do include external USB drive support. Make this right netgear!!!2.2KViews6likes3CommentsORBI's box says it supports a USB 2.0
Hi, I did research before buying my Orbi system and I even confirmed on the Box it says "One (1) 2.0 USB Port". Well I got news for Netgear "2.0 USB" supports networked attached drives amonst other things... SOOOOOOOOOOOO I think you need to enable the USB port to work with Drives or potentially be sued for false publicity. YOU DO NOT HAVE A 2.0 USB PORT ON THE ORBI... NOT A FUNCTIONAL ONE... AND THAT IS FALSE PUBLICITY. The stupidest things is I upgraded from my 3 or 4 year old netgear R7000 which had 2.0 and 3.0 USB ports. a few years later and you have nothing left.2.9KViews2likes3CommentsNetGear Downloader: Add magnetic link and NAS support
As others have posted, please add support for magnetic links. Likewise, though the X10 (R9000) has support for reading from NAS's (Plex, and going so far as to support Port Aggregation and SFP+), it'd make sense to be able to download to a NAS... Thanks! ps: Another idea might be to support Transmition on the NIghthawks (you already support it on the ReadyNAS devices)6.4KViews2likes0CommentsReadyShare Print for RAX80
I have the Nighthawk AX8, model RAX80. The firmware version is V1.0.4.120_1.0.61. I am running Windows 10 on all systems. I needed stronger wifi for my business. I chose this router, which is awesome, based on the reviews and number of ethernet and usb ports. However, unlike my previous Nighthawk router, it does not support ReadyShare Print. I desperately need this for my business! When is this coming??219Views1like0CommentsLACP on gigabit ethernet port for R7000P and above
Hello, The device is really cool but I can't understand why there is no LACP... Wifi is faster than the gigabit ethernet ports? Is it really ok for you? I really hope there will be a LACP version of this model, or maybe better... a new firmware with this option. It should be so great for home NAS to perform in good condition HD streaming. Secondly, is it possible to connect a 4G router (netgear AC810AC) on USB3 to make a internet "failover". It should be great too. Thanks for reading me. And thank for the goos job you make on these products. Kind Regards, Nicolas.9.7KViews1like0Comments
