ReadyNAS Network Storage

Please add Circle to the R9000 Nighthawk X10 AD7200 Quad-Stream Wireless Router. I selected the R9000 because it had enough hardwired ports to connect to my existing wired network and the 2Gbps port agregation was a bonus for connecting to my Netgear ReadyNAS. However, for some reason NetGear has decided to abandon those who purchased their flagship Nighthawk router and are offering Circle only on there less expensive models. Also, just to add some confusion, if you go to the R9000 product page, there are references to Circle on the page under parental controls!21KViews14likes19CommentsDisabling Readycloud on a share by share basis
I have setup ReadyCloud for my NAS and everything works fine. I have a couple of shares that I would like NOT to be accessible remotely at all, not even by the admin user. Is it possible? From the readycloud page it does not seems possible because I can set permissions only for additional users and from the NAS admin page I cannot untick the readycloud admin email. I mean, I just want these two shares to be accessible only from the local network, but not remotely. I was suggested to post it here because there is not feature like this. Any interest? I believe it's reasonable to want data on the nas to be accessible from the network, but absolutely not to have it online, not even for the admin.11KViews0likes0CommentsLACP on gigabit ethernet port for R7000P and above
Hello, The device is really cool but I can't understand why there is no LACP... Wifi is faster than the gigabit ethernet ports? Is it really ok for you? I really hope there will be a LACP version of this model, or maybe better... a new firmware with this option. It should be so great for home NAS to perform in good condition HD streaming. Secondly, is it possible to connect a 4G router (netgear AC810AC) on USB3 to make a internet "failover". It should be great too. Thanks for reading me. And thank for the goos job you make on these products. Kind Regards, Nicolas.9.7KViews1like0CommentsRCLOUD app should allow uset to rename a file
RCLOUD is great for saving and retrieving files from devices. However it lack the ability to rename files. Often I find this most lacking when I save a file I have received through e-mail and I am no satisfied with the current name e.g invoicennnnnn.pdf. Though I may perfectly from my device may save this to my readynas Through Rcloud I cannot rename the file immediately after. please introduce a rename file feature in rcloud for devices such a iPhone an android9.2KViews0likes0CommentsAdd netgear downloader to R7500
1)Pls add the netgear downloader feature to R7500 as we have in R7000 model. This is a must feature to make our downloading task easier and smooth as it stores to the USB directly. 2)Also, the landing page once the user logs into routerlogin.net can be changed to some other less resource hungry page. The current landing page takes a lot of time to load to check the internet connectivity and all other widgets on it. 3)Pl reduce the start time and reset time of the router. Its supposed to be one of the fastest in the market now but any change in the config needs a restart and it takes away this fastest badge out of it.7.4KViews0likes1CommentNetGear Downloader: Add magnetic link and NAS support
As others have posted, please add support for magnetic links. Likewise, though the X10 (R9000) has support for reading from NAS's (Plex, and going so far as to support Port Aggregation and SFP+), it'd make sense to be able to download to a NAS... Thanks! ps: Another idea might be to support Transmition on the NIghthawks (you already support it on the ReadyNAS devices)6.4KViews2likes0CommentsAdd SFP+ port to upcoming ReadyNAS RN224, RN424 series
You've added the SFP+ port to the Nighthawk series, but not to the prosumer ReadyNAS desktop series... Please do so that we can take advantage of the new connector tech, and stay in the NetGear "family" (right now I'm forced to go to a competitor's NAS in order to utilize the SFP+ port).5.4KViews0likes0CommentsProcess Task Manager in GUI Inetrface
I had an issue corrected recently by support that could have easily could have been corrected by myself if there was a Task Manager on the Web interface that allow the killing of certain not destructive processes. I deleted a huge block of data via the LUN and the device was unable to reclaim the data becasue the deleting of the LUN although completed was still hung up in the system and stopped the reclaiming space process. This could be a huge issue if you dont have support becasue accessing the device and its settings is not easy. Once the support rep killed the already completed process, the space cleared right up. This had the potential to go on for days if i didnt have support and that not fair.5.1KViews0likes0Comments
