access control

I really like the Access Control feature, which allows me to block access to internet for my childrens devices (selected by MAC address) during the night, while at the same time still allowing my wife and I to access internet. But, is there a way to have Access Control turn on/off automatically each evening? It seems that if you could just allow it to be connected with the existing Schedule feature this would be real simple to add. If this is not currently possible, can you PLEASE add this ability to the WNDR3400v3? Or is there a better way to do this?44KViews4likes3CommentsPlex and my readynas 102 and access

We have used an access control list with no issues for about 2 years. This morning we started having connection issues and I had to reset the router. I put all the devices back in the Access Control Allow List but when I try to activate it I get this message, "Turn access control on with empty access list does not work with WPS. WPS will be inaccessible. Do you want to continue?" The list isn't empty. Anyone know wnat this means? Thanks.6.8KViews0likes6CommentsOrbi Access Control Firmware 1.3.0.12
I just updated my Orbi Router and Satellite to the latest firmware, 1.3.0.12. I'm using Access Control to limit access to the network. I have a Tivo Mini hooked up to the ethernet port of the satellite, and it was connected and allowed to network access before the firmware update. Now when I enter access control, the Tivo Mini shows as "blocked", and even if I select the device and click "allow", it stays blocked. That's the first issue. The second issue is that it's not actually blocked (nor do I want it to be). It's able to connect to the network and access the internet just fine. I tried to block and unblock it and it didn't work. Not sure what the issue could be except a firmware bug.Nighthawk X4 R7500v2 Access Control does not work
Frustrating behavior with my device, router firmware version V1.0.3.10 I cannot block a device that is using my network. Advanced>Security>Access Control the checkbox next to Turn On Access Control is checked. I go to the list of the devices that are currently connected, indicating "Allowed" under the status. I click the checkbox next to any of them (for example, an iPad my cousin is addicted to). I then click the "Block" button. I get a popup that asks: "Do you really want to block access to selected device(s)?" I select OK. Screen refreshes, nothing happens; the device still says Allowed! I've rebooted the device twice, no luck! Anybody else have this issue?Solved4.2KViews0likes5CommentsVPN controlling access
I have just got a R7000 router and i am wanting to use the openVPN on it. My main worry is security as it just seems to generate one set of files with no user name or password support for each user. I was wondering, if I use "Configuring Access Control on Nighthawk Wi-Fi Router" to allow only known MAC addresses to access my network, would that also be true when using the VPN, such that if the MAC address was not in the "access control table" it would'nt allow VPN access even although the user had the files. Its just that if anyone ever got access to the files i would have to turn off the VPN feature as they are same files. So I'm hoping that this will be a possible solution to my dilema, using "Access control" features. Hope it makes sense and someone has come across this problem before.Solved3.9KViews0likes3CommentsOribi Need FW update to block internet access without killing Network access
Currently, if I pause the Internet for a device through the NETGEAR Genine it makes that select device unavailable to my local area network. I would like to request a firmware feature to block specific devices from going outside the local area network. I have many devices on my LAN that do not need Internet access, but still need to function on my LAN as a network device. Have WAN access should be a ON/OFF option for a device in the phone App, as well as the browser interface.
