WiFi randomly drops on Apple devices
I just installed the rs600 wifi router on Sunday using the nighthawk app. Apple iPhone and IPad devices were randomly losing wifi but after turning off the devices turning off and on the wifi it would spin and show something about weak security. Then eventually after turning it off then on a few times it would appear without the weak security message. I restarted my modem, then restarted the router and updated the firmware. It stayed ok for about 4 hours and then it went back to the drops and the weird weak security message. I used to see that on my old router so I’m wondering is there something either on the ipad or iPhone I need to set or is there a setting I need to adjust on the nighthawk app? Anyone run in to this? I called support and they told me my devices need to settle in to the new router. I always thought on or off. Not some random issue where it works and then doesn’t.Error codes and will not let me make any changes
Sorry I gave the wrong information. It’s a Nighthawk 8000 P and still after I login will not let me make any changes every time I try to do an update it says error every time I try to make any changes it says error. It won’t let me check the speed going through the router. It comes up error. It doesn’t seem like I can do anything with it, but it seems to be working. Is there any help out there? I’m ready to throw this thing in the trash.Nighthawk app jumble up
Hello. Does anyone have an error in the Nighthawk app that makes the login area impossible to select anything but "forgot password"? I tried to attach a screenshot that I had taken but every time I hit "publish" an error message that said something along the lines of cannot publish now, uploading in progress. Nighthawk app and Home Assistant app with Netgear integration don't read the full list of connected devices even though the 192.168.1.1 router admin portal shows the full list of connected devices. I have two phones that do not show up on the list in either app, but do show up on the list in the router admin portal. The only workaround is to reboot the RS500 router which properly syncs the full list of connected devices across apps but within 1-2 weeks the list becomes desynchronized again. This causes my home automation to fail as it relies on my phones being discovered on the WiFi network for presence detection when I am home and connected to the router. My router firmware version is v1.0.5.22. Since both home assistant and nighthawk apps are failing to read the full device list at the same time, I believe this is a router firmware issue or REST API cloud/server endpoint issue (ARP cache issue?). Home assistant uses the Netgear API via Python on a raspberry pi server connected directly via Ethernet to the router, I'd assume the nighthawk app uses a similar mechanism to retrieve the connected device list. Hoping this can be escalated to the Netgear engineering team. Best regards.Netgear nighthawk app only displays completely white screen.
Does anyone know how to fix the obvious problem of the Nighthawk app only showing a white screen? I have deleted the app by going into setting on my iPhone 13. I have even waited a few days. Each time I re-install in takes me through a few permission questions. It DOES NOT ask me to login, it is always already logged in. I am then taken to a completely white screen. I can close the app and reopen but it only takes me to the completely blank, white screen. I am running IOS 16.3.1.
