I have purchased a Netgear MR7450 mobile router, it's working as it should. However, the problem I have with it, within the Advanced option Data Usage is that it's NOT showing the number of (0 Day's left). I have included a screen shot of the problem. I have setup the selected trigger date for it to reset, for the month but it still doesn't change.SolvedM6 PRO Wifi Signal Dropping Out
We have a M6 Pro Nighthawk modem which has been great & worked very well the past couple of years. The Nighthawk is connected directly to power with no battery fitted & has a couple of wifi cameras running off them at 2.4g. However in the past week (since the latest firmware update 25/10) it now works for a couple of hours & then stops transmitting a wifi signal, like its gone into standby mode... Yes Wifi standby is switch to Never. We are located in Australia & the modem is recieving Telstra 5G signal on the dashboard, however not transmitting wifi to the devices connected. There are 4 devices showing as connected to the Wifi. When you click on the Data Usage section, normally this shows how much data has been used & how many days left on the plan. After a couple of hours once the Wifi transmission signal drops out, if you go back into the Data Usage section it no longer shows any data information - "Data usage info unavailable at this time" is the messaging on the screen. Anyone had any problems with signal dropping out since the firmware update?? Please help... 👍MR7500 M7 Blocking VPN clients with MacOS Tahoe 26
Hi, I run a MacBookPro M2 through a MR7500 Nighthawk M7 (on the Telstra network). I use OpenVPN client software to connect to a remote business network, and it has been running fine for years. However after recently upgrading to MacOS Tahoe 26 on my laptop, iPad and iPhone, my M7 is blocking my Open VPN connections. If I run my iPad, iPhone or Macbook Pro directly through a seperate 5G hotspot everything runs as expected. If I run my iPad, iPhone and MackBook Pro through my MR7500 Nighthawk M7 via a Wi-Fi or wired connection, OpenVPN will connect but I cannot access the business network. I have found I need to run OpenVPN through ProtonVPN (tunnel in a tunnel) to access the business network, which effectively hides OpenVPN from the M7. I reset the M7 back to factory default, but still have the issue. I have uninstalled and reinstalled VPN software multiple times. I have the same problem with the Tunnelblick VPN client, so it is not just OpenVPN. Looks like Apple may have removed some legacy IPsec protocols in Tahoe OS which is tripping up the M7. Does anyone have any suggestions? How do I lock my Netgear Nighthawk hotspot to only use 5G?
It keeps flipping back to 4G even though there is a strong, fast 5G signal available. I have to reboot the hotspot for it to go back to the much faster 5G signal. Give it a few minutes or a few hours and it'll get stuck on 4G. The hotspot is stationary. I am not moving it at all when this happens.MR5200 (M5) Download Firmware
Hi guys, I need to update the firmware of my M5 Nighthawk (MR5200); i suspect that it is not working correctly... impossible to connect to any internet operator. I have the firmaware: NTGX55_12.04.17.00 (MR5200-100EUS) Can someone give me a link to download the firmware ? Netgear gives only the app, but with the app impossible to download anyrhing. I would like to do it manually.Using MR6500 with Unifi Express Router
I just purchased an MR6500 and I need some pointers of how to set it up to work with my current network. My router is a Unifi Express device and presently it connects to a DSL modem. I want to replace the DSL with the MR6500. I am planning to connect the MR6500 using ethernet and to connect the Ethernet connector to the router "internet" port. I realize there will be changes to the router, how do I set up the MR6500 to operate in this mode?Managing M6 Pro with Insight Pro - Key Settings Missing?
Hi, I have purchased an Insight Pro subscription to try to manage my M6 Pro MR6450 mobile router remotely. I have successfully managed to get the router enrolled and can see it through the Insight Portal. have built a device profile with most of the settings I need the M6 to have, but I cannot see all of the settings I need. I have the M6 available so I can fiddle with settings and reset etc., but I need to be able to manage the settings remotely because soon the M6 will be deployed at a much more inaccessible location. 1) Where can I enable the M6 Ethernet port through Insight Pro? This is OFF by default after any reset and is critical to the role the M6 will have. I cannot see any setting for enabling the Ethernet port in the Insight Pro mobile device profiles etc, and on the device screen or local GUI the option is greyed out when controlled by Insight... If an option like this for a major feature exists in the device natively, it surely MUST exist in the management software, right?!! 2) I also cannot find the setting for 'power mode' within Insight Pro (i.e. balanced, performance, max performance without battery)? There's nothing equivalent in the mobile device profiles etc. Again, while this is easy to find in the device screen or local GUI, the option is greyed out when controlled by Insight... 3) For points 1 and 2 above, is there a way to set the mobile device profile in Insight so that these settings are not changed when the device becomes managed, if those settings have been pre-configured? I guess this might be in the Enforcement Settings part of the mobile device profile, but which part? 4) Is there any way to see the SMS received by the router remotely? It's needed for service activations.. I guess this is likely not possible for user privacy reasons, but in this case, how to make the local GUI available remotely? See question 5.. 5) I was really hoping Insight Pro would let me simply access a version of the same dashboard I see if I manage the router locally through a web browser. Have I missed something? Under the Devices box in the Mobile tab of Insight, I get an IP address for the M6 listed and it's a hyperlink. I believe this should allow me to access the normal 'local' GUI but it has only ever worked once to do this. All other times it fails to connect. What do I need to set for this to work properly, some port number or something?, or is it a case of it depending on what IP the cellular provider has assigned? The only time it worked was when the connection was between two mobile devices on the same provider in roughly the same location.. Thanks, Geoff
