11 Topicscan't log into router
I have a RAXE500 Netgear router firmware version v1.2.14.114. I am unable to get access to this router with any method. The ip address doesn't work and the web address takes me to the netgear website. I have everything hard wired thru a netgear hub. I have also tried to access with wifi. I also have nighthawk and it's no help. I have no idea how to fix this.Web browser into local router then and only then do I get the personal questions
Interestingly I can login RAXE500 through the cloud, and the mobile app, yet when I try through a web browser into local router then and only then do I get the personal questions. I am confident, that there is no record of these questions previously, hence any answers given will be wrong. I have more than 20 machines on my network, and to factory reset the system, would take days or week to reset up. Not healthy for a novice admin, in a working household. If I proceeded as advised I also think will be a failure, as the security is not the same as the cloud-based security, which includes passkeys. This local login seems to be about 10 years old when personal questions were used. I think these routers need a firmware update so the internal webpage login security matches more secure passkey and biometrics, and two form authentication capabilities. I found old Linksys easier to manage, as most of the administrator controls are not available. As always anything, and most likely it is user error, yet tech support should have a better attitude, more like thank you for letting us know about this error (Customer Research and Development saves company money). (Ask questions to further define the error) We will record and log these issues and send it to our technical crew to see if they can replicate the issue. As a short quick fix you might consider, writing down the answers to the questions, then conduct a factory reset. Please let us know if this works for you.RAXE500 - GRC shows port scans as closed instead of stealth since last firmware
Initially, the router was always showed all port scans as "stealth" on grc.com>shieldsUP. Since the new firmware (1.2.14.114), almost all port scans show up as "closed" (which is not ideal). Is this recognized by Netgear, and being addressed?SolvedRAXE500 - Disable BPDU?
Hello, I have an RAXE500 (AXE11000) router that I'm trying to set up as an access point. However, I've been notified that it's sending BPDU packets. Is there a setting to disable this or any special firmware that addresses this issue? Current firmware version: 1.2.14.114 Thank you.SolvedCloudflare blocking website
I am unable to open the Ravensburger Puzzles American website(s). It brings up a Cloudflare blocking message. I have tried all the recommended solutions. I do not use a VPN. I clear all my cookies after all internet searches, and I have only one network - yours. I recently connected the router to my home AV Receiver via ethernet to do a software update. I have no idea if this changed the "network" connection. I have only one ISP provider. I just ran the latest firmware update on my router. No change. I am continuing to do research. I guess I need to find out which "sub-network" the router is connected to. I am not having issues with any other websites. I contacted Ravensburger, and they blame Cloudflare. Cloudflare blames Ravensburger. I have no idea how to remedy this situation. I have a Nighthawk Thank you.RAXE500 port forwarding problem
Greetings, I've seen community messages about accessing PLEX media server via port 32400 but they are years old and much earlier routers. My access to my PLEX media server on my LAN stopped yesterday after a power outage. I've tried various combinations of using default UPnP on with no port forwarding or with UPnP off and port forwarding enabled. Nothing seems to be connecting. Have tried with firewalls off. Have tried rebooting everything. What am I missing? Cheers.Solved
