Edit/Add new IP reservations
I have an RBR50v2 Orbi router and 2 satellites with FW ver 2.7.5.6. I have entered 15, or so, reserved internal IP addresses using "Advanced > Security > Access Control". All works well. The issue is, if I edit existing entries or add new entries, boot my router/satellites, log back into my router and go to "Basic > Attached Devices", the changes do not show up. It seems like I had this problem in the distant past and had to delete all reserved IP address entries in "Access Control", boot the system and re-enter all IP reservations. Is that the work around for this issue? Any help is appreciated.
'No internet connection' attempted fix fail
Now I'm in a pickle. I've been suffering frequent losses of internet connectivity. All devices are accessible over the LAN but report 'no internet'. Power cycling the RBR50 restores connectivity for a while. I read here of others facing a similar issue here so I decided to downgrade from the latest firmware an earlier release I had on my computer until the issue is resolved. I first tried downgrading the RBS50 satellites to V2.5.2.4 but noticed they returned to the latest version within minutes! So then I then tried downgrading the RBR50 router (thinking this might be what kept updating the RBS50s) but things then went crazy: I could no log in to the management page with my password. Neither the password I'd been using all morning nor the default creds would work (I wondered if the thing had done a factory reset). It then asked for serial number followed by two security questions I had no idea about. Now I'm locked out. How could my password get reset to something unknown and is a factory reset the only way forward?No Wifi, but Ethernet works fine
Using the RBR50 and 2 satellites. I decided to switch ISP’s. Tech came out today and installed modem. It showed online but my Orbi wouldn’t work with it. So I decided to just go back to the old ISP’s modem and cancel the new ISP. I had a little buyers remorse anyways because I didn’t realize I would be going from Fiber to Cable. Anyways, now I can’t get my WiFi to work at all. The ethernet plugs work. Computer and gaming console are on the internet, but wifi has been down all day. And now after several reboots and factory resets, the Orbi network won’t even appear as a WiFi network on any of my devices. I am unable to access orbirouter.com because I can’t even find the network. The devices connected via Ethernet can’t seem to access it either. The RBR50 sits with the magenta light on. I am so lost right now and seem to only be making things worse. I don’t really see how the ISP tech could have changed anything. Any ideas?Impossible de re-synchroniser un satellite RBS50...
Bonjour à tous, tout est dans le titre si j'ose dire. Après quelques coupures de courant impromptu, le satellite du routeur Orbi RBR50 que j'ai depuis plus de 5 ans c'est désynchronisé. Je veux dire par là qu'il est resté magenta fixe. C'est la premiere fois qu'il n'arrive pas a ce connecté après une coupure... J'ai tenté la synchronisation manuelle, sans succès, soit il rebascule en magenta, soit il boucle sans fin en led clignotante blanche... Après plusieurs essais, j'ai décidé de réinitialisé le systeme entier , la base et le satellite, et réinstaller tout ça. Ca a corrigé le soucis même si il a mis plusieurs essais avant de finalement se connecter. Sauf que deux semaine plus tard, cela a recommencé ! Mais cette fois si, impossible même après la réinstallation du réseau... J'ai tenté en filaire, et soit il bacule en led bleu assez rapidement, mais il n'est pas reconnu comme un satellite par l'app ou le gestion web du réseau : il apparait dans les appareils connecté en filaire. Soit il recommence à boucler encore et encore en led blanche clignotante... Je précice que la base Orbi RBR50 est au dernier firmware connu (2.7.5.6), mais impossible de savoir pour le satellite vue qu'il n'apparait pas comme un satellite... Pensez-vous que le satellite est "mort" ? Ou avez-vous une idée de comment solutionné ce problème ? Merci par avance, bonne journée,No amber flashing light at all - bricked RBS50
Hello community, I got an apparently bricked RBS50 for free. The symptom currently is that the power LED in the back stays solid green no matter how many 30-30-30 methods, nothing on the top ring at all either. Tried the procedure of tftp and the nmrpflash as well, simply could not get an ethernet connection between PC and the satellite. Am I totally out of luck on this one? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
