My printer only supports 2.4 GHz WiFi, but my Orbi system keeps steering it to 5 GHz. This causes the printer to go offline, fail to wake, and requires the Canon app to reconnect. My Orbi model does not show options to: split 2.4/5 GHz bands disable 5 GHz create a second main SSID force IoT devices to 2.4 GHz The only workaround I see is creating a Guest SSID and limiting it to 2.4 GHz. Before I do that, does my Orbi model have any hidden or advanced settings that allow: forcing a device to 2.4 GHz, disabling band steering, or creating a dedicated 2.4 GHz network for IoT devices? If not, is the 2.4 GHz Guest Network the recommended solution. Thank you.RBS50 fails to update but RBR50 is successful
Hi, So I downloaded the firmware from Netgear RBR50-V2.7.6.6 since the router does not find any new version besides the old I have which is 2.7.5.6, updated the main router and it worked perfectly, tried to update the satellite next, but it fails and I get an error message saying: "This firmware file is incorrect! Please get the firmware file again and make sure it is the correct firmware for this product." Ok so I tried to rollback the main router to previous version 2.7.5.6 thinking maybe you have to update the satellite first. Rollback worked no issues, tried to update the satellite again with newest firmware and still the same error message. So is this a bug or you simply can't update the router to the newest firmware, only the main router? Thanks for any help with this matter.SolvedSamsung Galaxy S8+ phone and RBR50
With the most recent firmware loaded on the router and satellite I have the exact same problem with my Samsung Galaxy S8+ phone and RBR50. I'm not sure precisely when it began, but it most likely followed one of the most recent phone upgrades. I'm not sure if any of the recent phone updates including ones for Bixby caused the problem. When I phoned Samsung, they advised me to reset the phone, reset the routers, and attempt all other available resets, including the Safe mode, but nothing worked. It must be something unique to because I don't experience any problems with wireless connections while using other wireless routers, such at work or when visiting friends.RBR50v2 Wifi issues
Hi All, I had a RBR20 with around 5 satellites but then I upgraded to RBR50, but it turned out to be RBR50v2 and post the upgrade my WiFi speeds dropped from 500+ mbps to around 250mbps max. The main router RBR50v2 was replaced by Netgear once just before the warranty expired but the issue is still the same on the replaced RBR50v2 router too. When connecting via the ethernet the speeds are 600+mbps but on wifi it barely crosses 250mbps up and less than 100mbps down. I am on the latest firmware and downgraded the firmware to v2.5.2.4 but the issues still persists. Anyone else have similar problems ?. Regards, Daniel .RBK50 (2018) now adding RBS50 which I believe is RBS50v2
The RBS50 I am adding is new - never used. However, I believe the firmware is quite old. Research is suggesting I need to update the firmware in two steps. The suggestion is that I get RBS50v2-v2.5.1.16 and RBSv2-2.7.5.6. I am trying to get them from Support. The current firmware on the sat is v2.0.1.4_1.0.06. Any help on locating v2 files and the upgrade process would be appreciated greatly. Thank you.Orbi Router RBR50
Si oui, quel mini-switch me conseillez-vous ? Medrci.
