New firmware for Orbi 971/970 V12.1.10.12_5.3.16 currently available only through the Orbi app. Router and satellites upgraded to the new firmware via the Orbi app with no issues. No release notes available at this time. NA region only until cleared for other regions via official Netgear sources. Be sure after doing a dirty install to do a clean install on your router/satellite(s) to avoid unnecessary network complications. Please update this post when the new firmware is available via the website with release notes.I have a Netgear CAX30 wifi cable modem router. Reset button does not reset the admin password.
I try the reset through 3 time failed passowd input, with device SN typed in , but my security questions's answer seems not right. I used the paper clipper pin to hold the reset botton for more than 15 sec, but after the modem online again. on routerlogin.net page, I typed passord for admin, it still shows the passord is wrong for admin. any further sugeestions to reset the password for admin? I have an MR90 Mesh system in place. One unit is hard wired back to the router, with two our satellites wirelessly connected. Have 1GIG speed from ISP. System was working great with speeds, both wired and wirelessly getting close to 1GIG. However, in the last month, my WiFi speeds have been cut more than in half, sometimes as slow as 100megs-ish. Wired is fine, still getting close to 1GIG. I noticed that my system has a firmware version of 1.0.2.42. When going out to the website I noticed that the latest version available 1.0.2.38. Somehow this router has a newer firmware than is available on the website. I called support and didn't get any help. My theory is: 1) units received an incorrect firmware or 2) .42 was out there, and was pulled from Netgear due to technical error... can anyone shed some light on this?A7000 stops working with SVM mode
I'm on Windows 11 pro. I'm trying to enable SVM mode on my BIOS so I can run docker, but when I reboot after enabling it, the wifi no longer works. Even in windows' settings, when I click 'network and internet' the settings window turns red and crashes When I disabled SVM mode, wifi and the settings network page works. I have purchased a Netgear MR7450 mobile router, it's working as it should. However, the problem I have with it, within the Advanced option Data Usage is that it's NOT showing the number of (0 Day's left). I have included a screen shot of the problem. Hi, Iâve noticed what appears to be DNS leakage in the latest two versions (1.0.11.8 & 1.0.11.6) I use custom DNS for adblocking and with both versions Iâve seen what would normally be blocked being unblocked. Suspect that after a while the RS700 is using the ISP WAN supplied DNS as well as the custom DNS as the blocking / unblock is random. When I first noticed it a few weeks back I downgraded back to 1.0.10.8 and had zero issues, everything that would normally be blocked stayed blocked. Upgraded to 1.0.11.8 when it was released and once again started seeing the issues. Happens on IPv4 & IPv6 - have tried with IPv6 disabled, same results. Have today downgraded back to 1.0.10.8.
