Orbi satellite connectivity issue
Please help me end my frustration. I have had "ok" internet for the past 5 months I've had Orbi AC2200 system, however over the past month it has been brutal. Devices lose connectivity all the time. I even had a technician to the house and he said the modem is brinigng signal in fine, the router is not delivering signal properly. To try and resolve the issue, i bought an Orbi AC3000 satellite. Out of the box, I performed a sync, it connected blue, and then 2 minutes later went magenta, and then 30 seconds later, blue. And then 2 minutes later, magenta. I believe this same issue is happening to my original satellite. PLEASE HELP! Netgear support only responds to tickets once per day and I waited on hold 90 minutes for support today (to inform me the orignal satellite I bought was not compatible.) My wifi situation is a nightmare and I've dumped $600 into trying to improve it! I am running firmware V2.5.1.16

Oh, my. This is NOT what anyone needs right now (actually, ever).
Can you please describe the configuration?
- AC2200 is not an actual "model number". It is a measure of speed used for marketing.
- What modem is the Orbi router connected to (brand and model number).
This can affect how the Orbi works. - Is there a "pattern" to the problems? (daily? hourly? etc.)
Thanks
Thank you for suggesting pushing the sync button. I went through the "sync process" a few times and it still cycles to Magenta with frequency.
Thank you so much for trying to help.
Router RBR20
Satellite 1 - RBW30
Add on Satellite 2- RBS50Y (I didn't need an outdoor unit, but it was the only satellite available for curbside pickup at Best Buy yesterday).
I look forward to your suggestions.
PS. - Quick additional question - if I select "LED On" from the settings, and it turns the light on - is it always white or will it change based on connectivity. When I selected that option it stayed white.

The RBS50Y signal strength should be easy to measure using any of the "WiFi analyzer" apps (at least on Android and Windows laptop).

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last update?
Please try a factory reset and setup from scratch with the RBR and RBS.Is the satellites on the same FW version as the RBR?
The RBSY won't be.

No - I have not done a factory reset. When I do that - will I have to go into my "online Orbi Account" and delete the devices, and then re-add them?

No, just push the reset button in back for 15 seconds then release.
Ok - here's the update. Thanks for the suggestion. I did a full factory reset last night and set up a new network. Both satellites are connected as well (reset them too). So the internet is better - actually perfect in one part of the house that is running off the router and original satellite. However in the part that geographically would be accessing the RBS50Y-200NAS - the service is slow with intermitten outages. On a mobile device it shows 4 bars of internet coverage, and the "Orbi Speed Test" shows "incredibly fast speeds" of 344 Mbs, however when I run a test from Optimum on the wireless in that part of the house, it shows 5 Mbs. I believe there is an issue with how the router is feeding this new satellite. Any suggestions?

Did you first disable the wifi radio on the mobile device then go near the RBSY and then re-enable the wifi radio on the mobile device to be sure it connects to the RBSY and not the far RBR or other RBS?
What is the distance between the RBSY and the RBR?
