Netgear Mobile App blocked notifications
Hello everyone.
I've been unable to find a solution to this issue.
It's weird enough that Android has this app under System apps.
But the OS will not allow notifications from the Mobile App "All notifications from this app are blocked".
When I go to App notification and switch the enable button, the OS disables it again.
The android os is version 13.
Has anyone here found a solution?
Thank you.

Hope someone comments on the Nighthawk app. I have the Netgear Orbi app installed on Android 16 and it definitely allows notifications:
It might be helpful to find someone with a more recent Android version and temporarily install the Nighthawk app on that device.

Hello,
I had a similar issue before. Since it’s listed as a system app and Android keeps switching notifications back off, it may be a system-level restriction rather than a normal app setting. I’d check battery optimization, notification permissions, and whether the app is restricted by the device’s system settings.

Thank you, sulaxna068debi, for the suggestions.
What's driving me crazy is the 3 dots are not there in app info.
I believe those missing dots is what I need to fix this.
How do I get the 3 dots to appear?
I have a Tab S9 running Android 16 and I'm having the same problem.

Checked my Android pad for this as well. System notifications in the Android for the app doesn't list this app in it's notification area. However navigating thru the Mobile app, it gets to the system notification area for me. The notifications are disabled for this app and can't be enabled on the Android side. Not sure if this is a NG app or Android OS issue.
I see from that Google store shows, the app is from 2024 so two years old and nothing newer. Wondering if Mobile app is going EoL. Know from the MR7 series, it doesn't use the Mobile app, it uses the Insight app. NG may have cut off continued support past the MR6 series for the Mobile app.

Page 18 of the User Manual for M6 mobile routers appears to say that the Insight app is used on them as well.
Which specific mobile router uses the Netgear Mobile app rather than Insight?

I just installed the Insight app and its nothing like the Mobile app. The Insight app just manages your Netgear account but it doesnt handle the settings within the M6 hotspot like the Mobile App does....or use to.
The only 2 options I have is to install Mobile App and forget about notifications.....or use the weblink.

All You Need to Know about NETGEAR Insight NETGEAR
This is the video about Insight. If netgear is asking users to do all of this just to get notifications from a M6.........smh

It would be really helpful to know which mobile router this is.

Very strange. Just to "have a look", I attempted to install Netgear Mobile on a Samsung Android phone and a Galaxy tablet, both running Android 16. Neither could find an app called "Netgear Mobile". Not encouraging.

Right?! And it hasn't been updated since 2024.
So to the Netgear support staff, which software are people suppose to use with Model MR6150 ?
If you say "Mobile App" then its obsolete until your development team updates the software for 2026 and beyond.

So to the Netgear support staff,
And, that brings us back to the reason people visit the Community Forum.
When their 90 days of 'complimentary support' expire, and if they have not purchased a support contract within 120 days of buying the product, then there is no way to contact Netgear support.
Although there appear to be a few Netgear employees who occasionally comment on specific issues, as a general rule, the only people participating in Forum discussions are customers.
