GS728TP - Looking for a way to disable 'Validate IGMP IP Header'

ll,

I am looking for an option to disable 'Validate IGMP IP Header' in a Netgear GS728TP Managed switch.  I found a help article which seems to indicate that I should see this option in the web UI of the switch, however it is not present.  I am completely fine with CLI commands to do this if that is the only option.  Anyone know if this is an option or not?

My switches firmware seems to be up to date at version: 6.0.1.18

Help Article in Question:

https://kb.netgear.com/29999/How-do-I-enable-Internet-Group-Management-Protocol-IGMP-querier-using-the-web-interface-on-my-ProSAFE-Smart-Switch

Thanks,

Dale

    Hi dbecker,

    Welcome to the community!

You should be seeing the options that is showing on the article as you are using a GS728TP switch. I don't think that we can set it up on CLI as it doesn't have any serial port.

Please check the manual here(page 108).

The option was not in the web interface, but I am not sure I was looking at the correct manual when I saw the entry in the first place.  All told I dont believe you can disable this feature in this switch as far as I can tell.

        dbecker,

This may not be supported on this model. May I know why do you want to disable the 'Validate IGMP IP Header'? What do you want to achieve here?
