JGS524v2 24 port - Loss of ethernet connection after 5-15 minutes
Hi, I have a switch that works perfectly fine after rebooting but 5-15 minutes later all wired connections simply stop working. So computer, printer, smart tv, etc all lose ethernet access. I also lose access to the switch. The Windows diagnostic mentions Ethernet doesn't have a valid IP. These situation happens both with variable and static IP configuration. As soon as I plug the computer directly on the router, I have internet access straight away. I have the latest firmware installed 2.0.1.40. The switch is connected to the Virgin Hub3 router. Do you think the switch is faulty? Thanks
Hi informatica,
I would suggest that you disable the IGMP Snooping feature on the switch as all lights are green could be that a broadcast storm is happening in the network.
Hope it helps!

Additional info:
1. Even when I cannot get internet, all ports are still green in the switch.
2. Changing from wired to wireless solve the problem for all the devices, i.e., there are no drops after 5-15 minutes.
3. I have performed factory reset in the switch.
4. Rebooting the switch solves the problems fir 5-15 minutes, after that I lose access to the internet and to the switch again.
i have no idea what else I can do.
thanks in advance for your help.
