Lowest cost smart or managed switch with console interface

Could someone recommend lowest cost smart or managed switch with console interface?

I only need 4 ports but need to control over CLI, telnet or SSH.

    GS108T is "manageable" via telnet

      Hi jak0lantash,

Thanks for your reply.  I will buy one and try if I can disable any port via telnet.

      Thanks again.

        Hi jak0lantash,

I downloaded all manuals for this product and I could not find any information in regard to telnet; only web interface and netgear's utility.

Is this switch really accessable via telnet?

        Thanks.

    telnet on port 60000
You don't get a prompt for the username, but type admin.
    Then your password.

    (Broadcom FASTPATH Switching) #show version

    Switch: 1

I was able to enter config mode and shutdown a port without problem.

I couldn't find an option to disable the service from the GUI, but you can very easily make an ACL if necessary.

      Hi jak0lantash,

Can I use GS108T with one port with static IP address 192.168.0.xxx and another port with DHCP?  Or do I need to break on different VLANs?

      Thanks.

      Hi jak0lantash,

I was able to telnet (GS108Tv2) but I didn't get the same prompt as you:  (Broadcom FASTPATH Switching) #show version

      instead I am "> >" as follows:
      (Broadcom FASTPATH Switching)> >

I type "date" command and get invalid input detected.

Do I need to login with a different account?

      Thanks.

You need to go into "enable" mode.
Type "enable", no password, hit Enter

      Thanks jak0lantash!

      Got it . . . it works!

Which command do I use to disable or shutdown port7?

      Thanks again.

      great!

And to re-enable the same port back again?  I tried "enable" instead of shutdown and did not work.
