Mounting Compatibility
Hello,
I would like to replace a Netgear Insight Managed WLAN Access Point (WAX-620) with a more modern one (WBE-710 or WBE-750). The current one is mounted on the ceiling.
Are the models mentioned compatible with the ceiling mount of the WAX-620?

No, the WBE7xx have a more modern mounting system. All the current WBE71x and WBE75x model variants are using the same mount system, and come in the same dimensions. Impressingly small you will say once you have one in your hands!
The mounting bracket for the WBE710 is definitely different than the mounting bracket included with the WAX620.

The video is confusing where John shows these P1 ... Pn positions. These are intended for the future, implying Netgear can design different sized APs. The default are perfectly fine, no adjustments required.
The install guide has a photo of the mount plate. It has quite a few attachment points. Might help to compare the 2.
