Orbi Pro - SRR60, SRC60, RBS50Y problem

Question

Hello,&nbsp;I have a wifi system in our store with a SRR60 Router, two SRC60 indoor satellites and one RBS50Y outdoor satellite.&nbsp;I am having problems with our ESP32 (arduino) devices that they keep loosing wifi connection randomly after about 30mins to 2 hours, when it happens , they "think" they are connected to wifi, but do not get there assigned IP adres, so they wont reconnect on there own to fix it.&nbsp;My other devices also seem to sometimes loose connection (laptops, google chrome's, ...) but they usualy just reconnect fine on there own (sometimes you have to manualy reconnect)&nbsp;Is there any setting I can try to switch to fix this ??? , it makes them unusable because those ESP32's are used for temperature monitoring.&nbsp;I 100% narrowed the problem down to the Orbi's wifi,&nbsp;When I switch my Orbi system to AP mode and use another router for the IP adresses, same problem,if I simply connect a very old wifi router (with DD-WRT custom firmware) and connect this TO the orbi system as an extra AP and make the ESP32's connect to this wifi , they stay online for ever (day's tested)&nbsp;So the problem is 100% the wifi of the ORBI system,&nbsp;I have tried connecting to all 3 wifi's (main wifi, customer wifi, iOT wifi) that I can set up,I have tried splitting the 2.4Ghz and 5.0Ghz networks , I have tried with DHCP router modus and with AP modus with another router doing the DHCP,I have tried with fixed IP's for the EPS32's,&nbsp;the only thing that fixes the problem is NOT to use the netgear orbi wifi :(&nbsp;Anyone got any suggestions for me ? or should I just bin this crap ??(they never realy where any good in my opion , always had small problems with them, but now with the EPS32 problem they are just plain not usable)&nbsp;&nbsp;Any help is appreciated,&nbsp;&nbsp;thank you,&nbsp;&nbsp;Hans&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

What Firmware version is currently loaded?What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?&nbsp;

What is the size of buliding? Sq Ft?&nbsp;What is the distance between the router 📡 and satellite(s)🛰️? 30 feet or more is recommended in between SRR 📡 and SRS 🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wired or wirelessly connected.&nbsp;

Does this happen if you turn OFF all SRS?&nbsp;

What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.

Does this happen if you factory reset the SRS and SRR and setup from scratch?&nbsp;
Try following this with the SRR to factory reset the system and setup from scratch with a wired PC and web browser:

Hello, thank you for your answer,&nbsp;Firmware for all devices is the latest for the moment : Outdoor one : V2.7.2.102 / indoor and router : V2.7.3.100&nbsp;Our modem is from BASE (part of Telenet in Belgium) , CH7465LG-BA , but that wont be part of the problem since its all internal LAN, so the system even works without a modem connected, no internet needed.&nbsp;Its a big building (4 floors), but tried closer and furder away, no change, typicaly there is one AP per floor + the outdoor one , tried putting the ESP32's in the same room, no change.&nbsp;It "think" I have tried it without any satellite plugged in, but not 100% sure, I will try this later when I can disconnect everything to rule that one out (incase its maybey the backbone wifi interfering, might be good point)&nbsp;channels tried on auto, tried setting the usual best channels 1,6 and 11 , no change, the ESP32's only have 2.4Ghz , but tried combined 2.4Ghz/5.0Ghz network and seperated , no change.&nbsp;I factory resetted everything last week (and changed from router mode to AP mode during setup) no change, I always configure via a PC and webbrowser, I dont use apps for stuff like this :)&nbsp;I will try without satellites and let you know,&nbsp;&nbsp;Hans&nbsp;

Looks like you already tried band separation, static IP(When you tried fixed IP, was it outside of DHCP range, or you made reservation within DHCP range for ESP32?), different DHCP server, router/bridge mode to no avail. Did you also try different security modes to see if ESP32 stays connected. When you say that they "think" they are connected, both SRR60 and ESP32 think that they are connected? When problem happens, does ESP32 connect to router, satellite or could be either one?

Hello,&nbsp;The fixed IP I tried is outside of DHCP server range,Also tried assigning a fixed IP via my DHCP router based on the MAC adres of the ESP32Same problem both connected to the SRR60 or a satellite,&nbsp;When I connect the ESP32 to the PC to use the serial monitor for debugging, I can see in my sketch at that point it say's its connected to the correct SSID , but shows IP as 0.0.0.0 , and that is why the ESP32 does not call its "reconnect loop" , and just stay's like that till you power cycle,&nbsp;My sketch works fine, I tested it, if I power cycle the router, when it comes backup up the ESP32 reconnects correctly to it,&nbsp;&nbsp;Problem is just after 30 - 200 minutes (random) it happens and it ONLY happens when using the Netgear Wifi, any other wifi works just fine (from 15 year old recycled linksys routers to latest AX TP-Link routers) , problem is just something with this damn netgear wifi :( :(&nbsp;So even when connecting an old recycled linksys wifi directly to the SRR router as access point it just works if I than use that linksys's wifi, I got no clue why that is because all the rest is the same, same DHCP router, ....&nbsp;&nbsp;

Are you using WPA2, or Mixed security for SSID? May be try to switch security mode to see if SRR/ESP32 incompatibility goes away. If ESP32 WiFi has sleep mode, try to disable it to see if random disconnection after 30~200 minutes goes away.&nbsp;
