XAVB 5601 does not work
Hi,
Recenty purchased two used XAVB5601/AV500 powerline. Seller says they work.
All lights are burning, No problems from the outside.
However...cannot get them to work.. reset them several times, set security, tried without security, connected them from router to PC and nothing, to PS4 also nothingh.
Any ideas about what is wrong ?
Also got a set of XAVB5602 and they work 100% in a simular setup, also tried to add one of the XAVB5601 into their network... but no result..
Any suggestions ?
Thx,
Sander

Have you tried connecting them individually to your PC and then accessing them using the Powerline Utility ?
I would reset the security to the default option 'HomeplugAV' on all units and then try again.
Hope this helps

When you run the powerline utility does it find all the adapters ?
For any that it doesn't, connect these to the PC and try to reset again
- clithesProdigyOK try connecting each one of these to your pc and resetting the encryption key to HomeplugAV as well

When you connect the XAVB5601 units to your PC and run the utility, when you try to factory reset them does it say that they have been reset, or 'Factory Reset failed' ?
- PloeggieAspirantNo errors, factory reset is done on all 4

As daft as it sounds, can you try resetting the password to HomeplugAV on the problem units using ZyXELs powerline utility? When i've had a couple of 'sticky' powerline adapters in the past using this has fixed them:
ftp://ftp.zyxel.com/PLA4201_v2/software/PLA4201%20v2_V7.0.2.14.0611.zip
I have used version 7.0.2.14.0611 before without any problems. They are my Netgear adapters in the screenshot to show that it will recognise them
The network name (NMK) is where you put HomeplugAV and then click 'Write'. Don't have any other adapters connected or switched on, just try it one at a time.

Thx for trying, but no succes
Gave all of them the name HomeplugAV individually,
Still no internet over these XAVB5601. I see them in a network between the XAVB5601 & XAVB 5602 but their not getting/receiving any internet signal.
Connected both XAVB 5601 to my router, and they will also not send the internet signal to the XAVB5602.
Any other suggestions ?
- PloeggieAspirantAdapter connected to router is connected via an extension cord. Tried also an other socket without extension cord but No succes
- PloeggieAspirantThx for trying. Don't like to quit

Hi Ploeggie,
clithes might be correct that the device is faulty. You have tried reset on the device but still no connection but it works with to another powerline adapter. You may try to connect it in just one room where the router is. If still the same then possibly the adapter is faulty.
