Connection issues with FioS G3100
Pulling my hair out trying to figure out what is causing the issue here. We recently upgraded to the FiOS G3100 Gateway router and I've been able to connect my A7000 directly to the router.
Now, I can see it, I can 'connect' where I enter the password and accepts, but says No Internet. I'm able to pull up my IP address/gateway information in command, but if I try to access the router through my browser directly, I'm unable to access/find it.
Accessing router settings, I see that my computer had made some kind of contact, shows my MAC address, IP address assigned, but was not showing as active.
I've been trying one thing after another, and just nothing has been working. I've updaed the router firmware as well as my A7000. I've even tried using the WPS button, which recognized it nearly immediately, but still didn't properly connect to the router.
Not sure if it's something with Netgear firmware or Fios.

Same here. Verizon was useless. Hopefully Netgear can figure this out.
TimBone Kind of want to say I'm glad I'm not the only one having this issue, however I'm not glad that people have to deal with this too.
Was hoping another user found the reason/work around, because I already know Verizon will be useless and Netgear will likely give a few things to do and say it's on Verizon, with neither of them offering a solution.
Been busy with other things, but I'm going to continue to work at this and see if I can't figure out a way to get this to work. Or hopefully someone else can see this and chime in and at least let me/us know it works for them and that it is something that can be done as opposed to me bashing my head against the wall for nothing.
Planning on rolling back drivers for the WiFi dongle and giving that a shot. I tried messing around with various settings on the router, and nothing was going. It's just annoying that it sees the card, I can see the SSID and get through the password, but then it's just in a **bleep**ty limbo. More infuriating that it somehow seemed to work for a couple minutes before crapping out.

I spent an hour on chat with Netgear to no avail. Tried deleting/uninstalling/installing the A7000, forcing connection protocols, disabling the AX protocol in the FIOS router etc.
My laptops built-in adapter does connect 99% of the time but it has been disconnecting on ocassion. I'm suspecting an issue with the FIOS Router. Calling them next. Wish me luck. I'm convinced before I even call them that it will be a waste of time.

The only workaround I've been able to figure out is to turn Wifi sharing on on my phone and use that to connect with my A7000.

In case this helps anyone:
I jus received the same g3100, and have the same connection issues with my A7000. However, when I configured the router, I turned on guest network as well. In the netgear genie app, it shows 3 access points - the main one twice and the guest one. Looking at the details, the main one has an 'AC' and an 'N' access point, and the guest is 'N'. I cannot connect to either of the main ones. Strangely (or maybe not), if I try to connect to the main 'N' one, it uses the 'AC' anyway - and it fails with the same issue (No Internet). HOWEVER, I can connect to the guest network. Of course, this is not ideal as I can't network with other devices in the house, but this is a temporary fix until the issue is fixed.

Yeah that verizon router is way more trouble than it's worth.
So after receiving the beta drivers from Netgear, it did 'stay' connected but I was experiencing massive lag spikes, to the point I couldn't play games or even chat in Discord due to disconnects.
I ended up putting my old router back in place and still, with these beta drivers, I was getting lag spikes but not nearly as bad.
I ended up reverting the drivers back to the latest NON-beta with my old router, flawless performance and no lag spikes.
I still have not put the new verizon router back in place because I was having issues with other devices too.
What a sheer disappointment.
The beta drivers did not work at all for me. I'd install them and then it would make the router vanish from the list of devices I could use to connect online with (physical, wifi dongle 1 and the netgear dongle). I could see it in the list of Hardware devices, and whenever I rolled back the drivers it would pop back in.
I tried this a few times while attempting some different things at the time and just nothing would get it to go.

I tried the connecting to the guest method but it didn't work for me. Did you change any other settings prior to connecting?
Disable wifi 5Ghz.

I had the same issue as everyone else here - of the solutions listed here disabling the 5Gz band worked best for me. I do notice that the speed of the connection is slower now, but at least it actually works reliably.

Having the same problem as eveyone here. I couldn't even connect to the guest network after enabling it. I even bought a Trendnet AC19000 adapter to see if taht would fix the problem. Same issue persists.

I have found my original Fios G1100 router works just as good with less problems than the Fios G3100 which I was led to believe is the latest and the greatest. One thing I should have remembered from past computers is your speed of usage is only as good as speed of your equipment, PC or Mac. I have discovered the Fios G3100 at the cost of $300.00 is no better than my Fios G1100 as my computer and television are 2009 dated and does not recognize the fater speeds. Therefore, it was a waste of my money, at this time, to upgrade the router. ALso, I've encountered other issues with the G3100 regarding it goes into sleep mode automatically and takes a while to wake up. Another issue was upon installing, the password caused conflicts when trying to connect to Verizon for the firt time. It took one telrobot two customer service phone calls to resolve the connection error. The pro is I am now upgraded when I have newer equipment. The cons are, I wasted $300.00 and do not receive any better service and my connection to internet is now slower, in my opinion.

It sucks guys... I thought I was the only one with this pulling the hair out of my head situation with the A7000. I wanted the best and I paid good money for this adapter. Upgraded to Fios, got sold on their new router (3100), horrible! Switched back to the netgear nighthawk R7000, and immediately got connection paired and 5G flying download speeds that I have never witnessed before! VERIZON 3100 router SUCKS! Im going to have to use it as a paperweight now.

I would like to join this discussion as I have the same problem with a client of mine. FiOS GS3100 right next to a Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 (although mine says it is an R7000, not A7000 in the router name). Two iPhones could connect to NETGEAR68 (wifi name), but would indicate "No Internet Access." I had to hard code an IP address on the iPhone for NETGEAR68 and reserve that IP address to it's MAC address in the AC1900, to get it to have Internet from this router.
Further, my client is in poor health and has almost 30 wireless devices to help him turn on lights, see cameras, operate fans and thermostats and open garage doors throughout his home. Several of the devices can see the NETGEAR68 wifi, with a strong signal indicated, but they cannot connect to it.
Keep me posted,

Issue is the 5.0Ghz connection. Once I disabled this on the router it started to work fine. Though 2.4Ghz is slower (kinda...ish) it has better range anyway. Something I can deal with until Verizon fixes this.

On which router did you disable the 5Ghz? The GS3100 of Verizon's, or the Netgear?
- On the router. Log into the admin portal. By default it should be myfiosgateway.com or 192.168.1.1
Go into connections. Select a device that's connected to the network. Hit device details. Look for bridge. Select 5Ghz and disable it.
- jose969AspirantWas there ever a fix for this issue from Netgear? I’m not shutting down a feature that I use. There should be another fix for this.
Yeah the only other solution is to go to your device manager, selecting your adaptor and not allowing 802.11.ac, so manually setting it to 802.11n. This would make only your device using this adopter to not be on 5Ghz.

Well, so the weird part is that I found that other post about the A7000 series and followed those steps to disable 5GHz on my G3100 but the issue still persists even after power cycling the EX6110 after inputting the correct settings. VZW support wanted me to buy their Samsung range extender which I definitely don't want.
- Diesel496AspirantI am currently using my EX7300 as an Access point. I started having WiFi connectivity issues when I received the Verizon 3100 model router. I am still having issues with the second/replacement router.
I believe it may be an radio frequency (RF) issue. I disconnected my Ethernet cable between the two devices. I also turned off the Netgear extender. The Verizon modem worked fine. I then turned ON the Netgear extender but did not physically connect it to the Verizon router. The Verizon router’s LED begin to flash and it’s SSID did not broadcast to my laptop and Wifi only ipad.
I am able to use the Netgear as the single access point when the Verizon modem SSID does not broadcast and the Netgear is connected to Verizon’s router. I can also access the web via Verizon’s router if I connect an Ethernet cable directly to it’s ethernet port.
Has anyone experienced similar issues?- extender_man_12Aspirant
This issue also affects the EX6110 wireless range extender as well
