NOTE: Use a wired PC and web browser to update router FW. If continued problems are seen after a FW update, it's recommended to try a factory reset and setup from scratch with out loading any saved configurations from backup files.

NTP Setting are broke 🙄
6to4 tunnel is broke 🙄
address reservations are broke 🙄
did the usual reset and start afresh aswell! 🙄
absolute garbage FW as usual! 😩 worse then previous imo! 🤯
So need more details besides "broke". Not helpful on what is really happening.
What is actually happening for these items. Please post screen captures would be helpful.
What browser are you using?
Happens with different browsers?
What ISP are you using? They support IPv6 6to4? Seen some where there depreciating some 6to4 services.
What brand and model modem are you using?
unfortunately this firmware did not fix the issue Im having with refreshing the page on a browser
What browser are you using? Try a different browser?
Be sure all browser caches are clear.
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.Which model router do you have?
Did you apply the FW and reboot the router or did you factory reset and setup from scratch?
Is this happening across all devices?
Did you reboot ALL Devices after the FW was load on the router?

Hi,
I have the sames problems.
- cybotLuminary
I have been stuck using old firmware on my R8000P (V1.4.1.36_1.3.1) because of the following issues:
- 6to4 tunneling addresses were unable to be set under later firmware
- Performance Optimization Database corruption - the version and release date were blank and I don't think they were working. effects were higher ping times (sometimes into the 1k range) and pages not loading correctly. I do not have a 1Gbps connection so this feature is needed by me. my subscribed internet speed is 10Mbps down / 1Mbps up.
- attached devices page not showing attached devices.- only a factory reset and re-entering of all the settings would fix this and the previous problem, which occurred on an almost bi-weekly basis
have these issues been solved under the latest firmware?

Also.. router autoupdate lists this version but fails to install. attempting to do a manual install results with the router saying the firmware is incorrect.
Are you sure you downloaded the correct FW file for your model Router? There are 3 different models listed in this thread.

The issues found by users have been confirmed on this version of FW.
I've already passed this on to NG.

I upgraded to 1.4.4.97 from 1.4.3.88 - it lasted 2 days, then I went back to 1.4.3.88. For me I found 2 things broken:
1) Under ADDRESS RESERVATION, unable to add/edit a devices because it kept saying "BAD MAC ADDRESS". There was no way to add/edit anything.
2) Under ATTACHED DEVICES, the CONNECTION TYPE information is mostly missing, just shows "-". For some devices it would display 2.4G Wireless, but not all.
I have a R7960P.
Users have already posted that there are problems with v.94 so keep v.68 for now. I saw this as well. I've already passed this onto NG.
Thank you.

I have the Nighthawk R7960P with V1.4.4.94_1.3.56 and has been working pretty good. I have lots of devices attached to it about 40-50. I usually add them to the LAN Setup and assign an IP address to avoid conflicts. Lately it does not let me add new devices with the error message "Invalid MAC address. 2CAA8E6B596A". This message is displayed for existing devices I want to rename or new devices I want to add. Thinking that it might have run out of space. I removed two old entries. With no luck. Using the App at least it lets me rename devices, but the app does not have LAN Setup menu (or I don't know how to get it).
I’ll give it a try aswell! 😊
R8000p 😊
(tho I’m currently using my RAXE300 atm!) 👍🏻

I am also having this issue. R7900P. I've been waiting for an update from Netgear for months but maybe they don't support it anymore? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
I presume since the 7900 series hit EoL, I doubt NG will be forth coming with any fixes for these models:
https://www.netgear.com/about/eos/
Best suggestions would be to downgrade to prior working version of FW.
Find some 3rd party FW that you can use, i.e. OpenWRT or DD-WRT.
Punt and get you something new.

I bought the R7960P at a garage sale for $20 and made the mistake of upgrading the firmware. I’m having the same invalid MAC address issue. I would like to try the beta firmware.
Thank you

How does one get a copy of the 1.4.4.95 FW for the R8000P?
Hi FURRYe38
Is v1.4.4.95 going to be officially posted in the downloads for the R8000P anytime soon?
Thanks,
Rick
