Cloud user cant access share
did a bunch of searching so my apologies if this was covered somewhere else.
I made a share for an external user, sent him an invite to join and he registered. I then followed this guide http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/24929 and made sure he was given permissions to access it. When he logs into the readycloud site, he can see all my shares but I have them set to not allow anonymous so he cant access them. Yet the one share I allowed him to access he can't even get into that one. The only thing he able to save info to is his home folder that was created. Is there anything I am missing here? Do i need to turn on HTTP/HTTPS in the main admin page? Any settings in Properties, Network Access or File Access I need to configure?
Thanks!
Edit: Running 6.2.0 firmware on a ReadyNAS 516

I invited an external user to share some movies to him on our RN716 that also runs on fimware v6.2.0. I also followed the steps on the same link you have mentioned: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/24929. I gave an external user a Read-Only Access on the share that contains the movies and it works. The external user can download the movies just fine but he cannot paste anything on the share since he has a Read-Only access.
What if you try to turn off/on ReadyCloud on your RN516? - dansan382Aspirant

Wouldn't turning it off completely remove his ability to access the NAS? So you just set him to read only which I guess works the way you have it but mine needs to be able to write to it. I can't even get him to read, which is bugging me. - RXLuminaryJust tried giving an external user a Read/Write access on the share that contains the movies via ReadyCloud just for a test and it works as well.
Turning it off would really remove the ability of the external user to access the share via ReadyCloud. However, I mentioned that you will turn it on as well and give the same permission to your external user so that you could check if same problem will exist.
You may also try rebooting your RN516 before you turn off/on ReadyCloud and check if that will help. - dansan382Aspirant

Yea, going to give it a reboot when I get home. If that doesn't work maybe Ill try deleting the user/share and try it again - dansan382AspirantThink I got it working but I ran into a new issue.
Made a share, invited the user via the ReadyCloud website, they accepted and can access their share. I turned off Home folders as well, don't want to use them. Here is the issue I have.
In the ReadyCloud website the user only sees the folders I gave them permission to view and nothing more.
Using the ReadyCloud app on a tablet they can see every share on the NAS but it asks for login credentials when trying to access a share they don't have access to
Using the ReadyCloud app on a computer it only shows the Home folder which none of the other methods can see. Doesn't see any other shares. Also the home folder is disabled. Not a huge deal as I set a shortcut in windows explorer for //nasname so they can access it like a normal drive.
Any suggestions? Not a huge deal but just for my OCD i'd like them to all show the same thing - RXLuminaryOn the PC of your external user, have you tried to disable any software firewall that is currently running like Kaspersky, Eset, Norton, etc.? Kindly try to disable it then try to check if the shares will be visible via the ReadyCloud App.
To further isolate the problem, you may suggest your external user to try another PC as well. - NhellieVirtuoso

Which account did you use to login the PC on the readyCloud? User or admin? - dansan382Aspirant

all of the methods i mentioned were done with the external users account. same account, but 3 different ways of accessing the NAS, all 3 gave different views of the shares.
