online vpn disconected ????
Hi All .. All has been working fine up untill about a week ago.
Now desktop app for backup and sync will not connect a vpn to the NAS.
It sees the NAS as on line ok but cant connect VPN .
Have done the usual re install the app and dis connect the service in admin control etc.
but still no VPN connection .
Web portal works fine.
Want the desktop app for Sync function.
All devices are up to date...

Hi bkxit,
May I know what is the OS of the computer? Do you also get the same problem when you try it on other computers?
You can also try temporarily disabling the security software on your computer and see if you will still get the same issue.

Have found a possible fix from Brian L
Disable IPv6 on the active network tab ...
Will try in the morning and report back.
Did disable all security .......... no go..

Still no go , Was all working fine a few weeks ago.

Not sure if you disabled it on the router, on the NAS, or in Windows...
But I suggest disabling it on both the PC and the NAS, and see if that makes any difference.
If the PC and the NAS are on the same network, it might also be worth connecting the PC to a different network (perhaps a mobile phone hotspot), and see if that behaves differently.
If you haven't confirmed that you can access the NAS through the readycloud web portal, then I suggest doing that.
FWIW, you could also look into switching to something like FreeFileSync (at least for now).
