OS6, 6.5.0, ReadyCLOUD - Services Offline

Hello,

I have RNDU4000 with OS6, running 6.5.0.

I wanted to setup ReadyCLOUD, but it says at the top Internet Available, Services Offline. There is a question mark, but I cannot click it, so I don't know what's wrong.

I thought it was a port problem, so I forwarded a custom TCP port to NAS and entered it in settings, but it still is offline.

I saw a suggestion to use 8.8.8.8 as DNS server, but that is what I currently use.

How can I figure out what is wrong?

  • By the way, in ReadyCLOUD settings I entered 40004 as port for incoming connections, however when I try to telnet to port 40004 on my NAS, it says that connection refused. Could it be that there is a bug in the NAS, and the port is not being changed from default one?

How can I change/verify it via SSH?

      Hi mrQQ,

I do not own a ReadyNAS Ultra 4.  However, here is my suggestion: connect your RNDU4000 directly to your Router, then kindly try to use the DNS Server provided by your ISP.

      Hope it helps :)

      Regards,

Well, I cannot connect it any way different than it is now, because I have antenna <> router <> nas. As for the DNS, it will not help, because the NAS does seem to be visible on web portal, however, when using Android App it's always Disconnected

  • I'm having a similar problem, local admin, cloud tab shows Internet green check, services red x when u turn on ReadyCloud switch. I tried to leave and rejoin with my netgear account login credentials and the behavior repeated, no services. I also changed the email address for the netgear account so it was different from the administration account, nothing changed. can see available apps on that tab, see all shares via ReadyCloud on other clients, but I cannot setup local users! Please help.

I think in my case it was because I had http/https services disabled.

      Hi wolfie111,

Just wanted to confirm. You mentioned that you cannot create local users?

Do you have the latest firmware installed, do you also have the DNS configured as per suggestion by the DaneA?

You could also use 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for DNS.
