ReadyCLOUD Android

Hi,

At my wits end with this. Myself and another employee can connect to the ReadyNAS with the ReadyCLOUD app when using our Android phone wifi and on the local netork. We cannot connect if we are connected to any other wifi or LTE network. It always comes back "disconnected". The phones are differnt. One an LG and the other a Samsung. I loaded the Desktop app on a clients server outside of my network and the desktop app works correctly. You can also login to the ReadyCloud website and see all the folders and files.

My setup has the RN with a static IP and it is setup with ReadyCloud=ON on the NAS dashboard. The dashboard does however have a check mark next to internet and an X next to is saying "services unavailable". I have no proxy servers on this network.

Is there some setup I am missing? I would assume I don't have to open up ports on the FW if the web works and the desktop app works? There is a "specify incoming ports" setting for the ReadyCLOUD section. Should this be setup?

RN 102 Version 6.6.0

Android Client 1.2.11

Any help appreciated.

Best,

    Usually this means that you forgot to configure a DNS server for the NAS.  Check the subnet mask and gateway as well.

    Solve that first, and then see where you are with ReadyCloud.

      Thanks for the quick reply. The IP setup is as follows:

      IP=172.16.1.11

      Mask=255.255.255.0

      GTWY=172.16.1.1

      DNS=8.8.8.8, 208.67.222.222

      Thanks

        That looks ok, though of course only you know the correct gateway IP.

        Though OpenDNS will block some sites correct?  Maybe try a test without it.
