ReadyCloud won't turn on.

Hi

I have a ReadyNas pro 6 (RNDP6310) upgraded to OS6 (FW 6.4.1).OS6 works completely fine except 1 thing if i try to enable ReadyCloud it promts me to the message "The ReadyDrop-service isn't supported anymore since 6.2.0, .....". The device itself tells me that Readycloud is connected and i can discover the device but In ReadyCLOUD the device shows under Discover but is offline on the main page.

I already tried a factory reset, rebooting it multiple times, checked the cables and tried to turn it off and on again :) .

Every time I try and toggle ReadyCLOUD it comes up with a ReadyDROP warning, saying service depreciated.

In my local network i can acces the shares without any problem and the nas works as it should. Because we're on the road allot for our clients i need a handy wayto acces the nas remotely. I tried using a "back door" using ftp and a FTP network driveprogram but thats not the cleanest way in my eyes. Any advice on my problem or how to use an alternative ?

Grateful for any advice.

Thanks,

Pieter-Jan

  • The serial number has been programmed into your unit now.

    Please check if ReadyCLOUD will turn on.

  • After further investigation and looking around the forum for people with the same issue i maybe found the problem. As discussed here

    -> https://community.netgear.com/t5/ReadyCLOUD/Cannot-turn-ReadyCLOUD-on-Pro-Pioneer/m-p/1005838#U1005838

    He got the same issue and got a mismatch in serial numbers. After looking at my device and my configuration i noticed that the OS and the device have different serialnumbers asswell.

    Is this the only issue or are there more problems at play ?

    Thanks,

    Pieter-Jan

      Hi Synergie,

      You're right that this problem is similar to the link that you mentioned. Kindly pm Skywalker about this problem and hopefully it will be resolved soon.

        I have sent you a PM. I can fix the serial number on the unit to match what is on the label.
