ReadyNAS online (VPN Disconnected)
Is netgear having the same issue again with the VPN being disconnected for PC's?
I am able to get to my shares from my android devices but my windows 10 laptop gets the "Online, vpn disconnected" error.
The leaf network adapter has an incorrect ip starting with 169.
I have rebooted the pc, disabled and enabled the leaf adapter and signed out and in, to my readynas account.
anyone else having this issue?
Hi all,
Can you please check and try again? It seems we did have a problem on it but should be fixed now.
Regards,

I'm still dealing with this issue. I noticed it on both my mac and my android phone apps, last week, noticed that readycloud service was disabled on the system, so i re-enabled it, and at this point the android phone is able to connect properly, but the mac desktop client is still showing VPN disconnected. Any news???

Nothing new no nelp from netgear.com I noticed the app works if I am on the same network as the readynas if I attempt this from outside the home network the VPN stays disconnected

I'm pleased to report that all of mine have been up and running for a few weeks now without any issues. However, I replicated the issue by releasing the IP address on my leaf network. As soon as I unloaded and reloaded ReadyCloud, it recovered successfully. Also, I have disabled cloud access on one ReadyNAS and then re-enabled it to check that that doesn't upset it either, so I'm afraid I can't offer any more advice.
Just to be sure though, try adding a new Readycloud user and log in using that new name. If it's able to see the drive, contact Netgear because they did have an issue with some accounts where they needed to manually intervene a couple of months ago.
I hope this helps

- MalcolmTApprenticeJust when it looked like things had settled down, here we go again.
Multiple clients are failing this weekend on both ReadyNas Remote and Readycloud.
Netgear - are you listening?

I am running a Home ReadyNAS 100 unit. I updated to the newest Ready Cloud Desktop where one workstation is on Ethernet and the other is wireless and have noted that both indicate ReadyNAS online (VPN Disconnected) in the ReadyCloud Clinet v 1.15. I also updated the ReadyNAS server to the newest version of OS. Rebuilt user access and the like. Issue is still occuring. Additionally all workstations are on WIndows 10,

Hi,
W also get VPN Disconnected, from all client computers. This has been the case for several days. Our business is losing money over this - do we have any indication of outage or timespan for resolution? Thank you.

That's very strange. I've checked all of my client's connections today, and they all look good for now. Perhaps I need to brace myself for yet another period of uncertainty?
Netgear did send out a circular recently notifying an unexpected outage (this is a big step forward). Perhaps it would be an idea to circulate an opt in/out for such notifications?
