Qbittorrent update
The qbittorent included in the readynas distribution is quite old (2.9.8-1) and buggy. It appears there are newer compatible ubuntu built distributions available. For example, see here: http://www.tecmint.com/install-qbittorr ... -in-linux/.
I installed add-apt-repository and of course it doesn't work on os6 because of the netgear damaged ca-certificates package. Has anyone gotten a newer version of qbittorrent running on OS6 and could you share instructions?

- chopin70Virtuosothank you
I verified, and it is same version as latest one from super poussin repo. Same "About" dialog as I posted above: 3.3
There are very tiny changes in header and tail of files between your link and super poussin. I don't know why those changes!
By the way, you can also change the files using windows explorer logged with a user with root access. I verified and the NAS automatically CHMOD the files to highest rights, even too high, but faster than SSH ;-)
Maybe it is just because of bugs, since it is alpha
I could end with reverting to 2.x which worked great in OS 4. v2.2 and higher needed low level hacking of some libc that I didn't want to do to avoid breaking other things - greenteagodAspirantI have tried adding the utorrent package from super-poussin's drop box but nothing appears in the apps list afterwards. Is this a complete build?
I had been trying to set up qbittorrent that comes default but the developers over there say the version in the bundle is broken and no one should even be using it anymore. - greenteagodAspirant

Where? I am searching around on these forums and cannot find a community dropbox. I found the drop box for you at https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ie9pwk1wut72ias/p6_X2QeOIC but they are all old files for qBittorrent. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThat is the dropbox he was referring to.
I can't see it in there other.
I have reached out to super-poussin.
The new version will only run on x86_64 systems however unfortunately it can only be built as an app that appears to be for all systems. It is not safe to install on ARM. - greenteagodAspirantYeah I'm just bummed because I'd read about the app add on capability, but it seems many of them are broken and out of date or don't work on this architecture. Not that I can complain too much since I don't know how to code, but still would be a very nice to have. It would let me decommission an entire system if I could get torrenting running on this.
- hfsambAspirantHello,
I have adjusted to RNASOS and compiled qbittorrent 3.3.0 alpha to arm platform. I have tested it on NAS 102. 'Scan folders' and 'add from torrent file' was fixed. Link below.

Enjoy. - dsm1212ApprenticeI've tried running 3.3.0alpha but that version was so new it appears it has not been whitelisted by some trackers yet. Which means those torrents won't download. So I went back to 3.2.0 again for now.
steve - hfsambAspirantI am currently using my brand new 102 for development and application porting which I intend to use latter. After I have all apps I need I will do a factory restore and just install the built applications.
Do you know how long until alpha is released or rejected? I could revert to 3.2.0 if it takes too long.
Does 'add torrents from file' and 'scan watched folder' work in 3.2.0 version? - MGD1AspirantJust wondering if anyone can help.
I had Qbittorent open in Chrome on my tablet and closed it Chrome down. When I opened Chrome up again it was on the Qbittorent tab and went into a login loop which I couldn't login too or cancel and eventually left me with a message telling me my IP address had been banned for too many failed tries.
Has anyone experienced this and know how to remove it?
Thanks Heaps - hfsambAspirantEasy solution is to uninstall and install it again.
If you want to keep your preferences then login with ssh and edit the config file.
/home/admin/.config/qBittorrent/qBittorrent.conf
Then look for IPFilter\BannedIPs=... and erase your tablet's IP.
Newer qb versions offer better browser compatility. Check the community dropbox.
