Am I going wrong?, I can use the remote email to upload pictures and they appear, when I try the FTP upload, i can see then in the upload folder but they do not transfer to my Readynas Album.

Logged into readynas photo2 site and I can see the jpegs but the do not transfer to my nas box! Help please.

Yoh-dah, I'm having trouble uploading photos via email as well. I have the email service settings configured correctly in the System > Alerts tab of Frontview, as the test message button does successfully send a test email. I also configured the RNPII preferences for Remote Upload correctly and got a URL to send to. But when I send an email with an attached photo to that URL, the photo never shows up in the album.Anything I might be missing here?

I had no problems uploading via email but the send address needed to match the photographer otherwise no joy, worth checking the mail headers to see if matches?

My "User" name is my account email address, but the "From" name (in the Advanced Options pane) is the sub-account email address associated with the main account. My ReadyNAS Photos II account was set up with that sub-account email. My service provider does not have separate logins for each alias or sub-account under the main email account.Now, when I check the headers of the email, the "from" address does have the same email as my RNPII account; the only thing different in the long headers is that the "X-Smtp-Server" info shows the main email address. Still, no dice on the upload.

I seem to have exactly the same problem. I have an ultra 4 sitting behind a DLINK upnp router/firewall; just tried to use ReadNAS photos II for first time and get same problem as above (RAIDiator 4.2.17; photos v1.02). Have been running for a while with my ReadyNAS accessible to internet via webDAV over SSL so i know i can get through the firewall to the ReadyNAS on the IP address - but seem to get absolutely nothing there when try to access port 8086... tried from inside and outside firewall using both internal and external ip addresses... any ideas anyone? Thanks.

OK, to answer my own question, i have now resolved this - i rebooted my router; and after that, it all works. Like it so far!

Folks is there a manual somewhere for this software?

Sorry for asking this but Preferences, remote upload, passcode.... where is this used I'm trying to get remote uploads working

There are a few ways you can do this:
1. Allow your family members to login to your account to upload photos
2. Create account for your family members, so they can login as themselves and upload photos
3. Setup Remote Upload via Email or via FTP (Under Settings > Preferences > Remote Upload tab)
