How did you solved the problem with "Fail to access Photos II from internet. (error=-1).' ?
Because I'm having the same problem...

    Thanks

    Are you running 1.0.2?

Just moved to version 1.0.2, now get some problems listed and when i diagnose get this:

OK: All connection tests from ReadyNAS Photos II to UPnP Router and photos.readynas.com site are passed.
    OK: Hostname BettleySmith is available.
Error: Fail to access Photos II (http://78.149.xxx.xxx:8086) from internet. (error=-1).
OK: Successfully found your public IP (78.149.xxx.xxx).
    (xxx) to hide identity

    What does this mean?

I seem to have exactly the same problem. I have an ultra 4 sitting behind a DLINK upnp router/firewall; just tried to use ReadNAS photos II for first time and get same problem as above (RAIDiator 4.2.17; photos v1.02). Have been running for a while with my ReadyNAS accessible to internet via webDAV over SSL so i know i can get through the firewall to the ReadyNAS on the IP address - but seem to get absolutely nothing there when try to access port 8086... tried from inside and outside firewall using both internal and external ip addresses... any ideas anyone? Thanks.
  • OK, to answer my own question, i have now resolved this - i rebooted my router; and after that, it all works. Like it so far!

There are a few ways you can do this:
    1. Allow your family members to login to your account to upload photos
    2. Create account for your family members, so they can login as themselves and upload photos
    3. Setup Remote Upload via Email or via FTP (Under Settings > Preferences > Remote Upload tab)

    Thanks
