ReadyNAS NV+ crashes under heavy load
I was copying very large database backup files to my ReadyNAS NV+ (RAIDiator 4.1.14) using RoboCopy with 4 threads, and it resulted in the device going "off-line", meaning the power was still on, but it would not respond to pings, CIFS requests, nor the front power button to display its status. I had to pull the power cord out to shut it down, and am being forced to await RAID sync completion, so I can reboot with volume scan. This is not the first time this has occured and it is of a big concern to me, from the perspective of data integrity. Is there any way to prevent this from occuring in the future?
Can't boot anymore. Claiming a bad disk now. Switching to QNAP. Better quality.

Well it depends on what the cause is.
How full is the data volume?
Have you verified that all the disks are ok, perhaps by testing using vendor tools?
Do you have ssh enabled?
If so could you ssh in and:
df -h df -i
....although this does not sound like a full OS partition.

The volume is almost empty otherwise. The disks have been verified as OK. I don't have SSH enabled.

The OS partition isn't visible, and it possibly could be filling.
First of all, I suggest making a backup of your data - it clearly is at risk if the NAS is crashing/unstable.
