ReadyNAS Ultra 6 /dev/md0 is 100%
Hi All,
First time poster, long time follower :D
My NAS rebooted and started a resync and after some investigation and trolling through the posts, I have discovered /dev/md0 is 100%
I have looked at / where its supposed to be mounted and I come up to a total of 500mb
I have excluded the link folders ( -> ) and "c"
The question is, where is the 4Gb odd being used up?
I can account for only 523 MB...
Any help would be appreciated...

There could be a hidden directory that you have missed.

Also, on frontview, when I click streaming services I get a blank page.... might be related... - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredYou deleted the log file for ReadyDLNA while the service was still running. Best practice: Don't delete files while they are in use by a process. Stop the process first.
Try
# start-stop-daemon -q -o -K -n minidlna -R 5
Confirm the space is freed up and then
# start-stop-daemon -q -S --exec /usr/sbin/minidlna
Also in future rather than deleting it, I would suggest doing e.g.
# echo "" > /var/log/upnp-av.log
You may wish to toggle the cache directory for ReadyDLNA onto the data volume. See this x86 add-on: http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=392371#p392371 - Ado1AspirantThat seemed to free up the space!!!!
Thanks so much...
My drive is still doing a resync... its been doing that for a few days now...
I still can't see any streaming service....
Can I run that addon to move the cache during a resync?
Resync time has now dropped from 300+ hours to 5...
I'll wait it out.
Thanks so much for the help. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredYes you can install that add-on during the resync, though you can wait too if you prefer. It gets ReadyDLNA to store it's cache on the data volume rather than in /var/cache/minidlna
The log is still stored on the OS partition.
Had you turned debug logging on for ReadyDLNA? Debug logging should be turned off when not needed. - Ado1AspirantI am not sure. I may have some point installed the debug version... I can't remember...
I will have a look. The problem is nothing is coming up properly in frontview....
for example I know I have CIFS/NFS running and can hit the shares but according to frontview, CIFS and NFS and other addons are not running...
I suspect this may be from running out of space... I just hope that after the resync and a reboot it will sort itself out... - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredWith a full OS partition config files can be corrupted.
