WNDAP360 in Bridge-Mode - no DHCP

Hi,
i setup 2 Ap360 in Bridge-Mode. The AP's are configured with static IP's. VLANS etc. are working as expected. The Clients behind Bridge should aquire IP from DHCP-Server (Stand-Alone DHCP, not from AP). But the Clients got no IP. I run Wireshark and i can see that the Client send DHCP-Discover, but i could not see them on the other Bridge-side. it seems that the broadcasts are not send over bridge.
can anyone help?

Re: WNDAP360 in Bridge-Mode - no DHCP
Hi Danielhainich,
In order for us to assist you better with the issue, kindly provide us additional information. I have summarized my questions below:
- You mean that the devices that are trying to connect to the APs won't receive any IP? Is that correct?
- How about if it is standalone and no bridge is configured?
- Have you tried connecting an ethernet cable and directly attach it to the AP while set on bridge?
- Do you have any VLANs? If you do have, does your stand-alone DHCP set to trunk?
Please also update it to the latest firmware.
You may download it here.

Re: WNDAP360 in Bridge-Mode - no DHCP
hi,
i have installed latest firmware.
when i connect to ssid for client-acces all is working. dhcp is assigned from dhcp-server.
but when client is connected to bridge, than dhcp is not working. the request are not sent over the bridge.
With static IP all is working.
AP1 and AP2 are bridged with WDS -> DHCP-Request ends at AP2 (checked with wireshark and mirrorport)
DHCP-Server --- Switch --- AP1 ....... AP2 --- Switch --- Client
AP1 as AccessPoint -> DHCP is working
DHCP-Server --- Switch --- AP1 ....... Client

Re: WNDAP360 in Bridge-Mode - no DHCP
May you be able to try a link test?
Note: You should be able to ping the IP address of both APs from a connected client. Failure to ping one of the APs means that the wireless signal is not traversing the bridge. Failure to ping both IP addresses means that the clients is not connected correctly.

Re: WNDAP360 in Bridge-Mode - no DHCP
yes, the bridge is up. i can ping the client (with configured static ip) behind the bridge from dhcp-server. with static ip all is fine. but the client got no ip address from dhcp when set to dynamic. the dhcp-request are eaten by one of the bridge-members.

Re: WNDAP360 in Bridge-Mode - no DHCP
Hi,
the Link-Test from AP2 to AP1 was successfull. Linktest from AP1 to AP2 not.
could it be that link-test was not successfull because AP1 is Bridge and also Accesspoint togehter, while AP2 is configured as Bridge only? on AP1 i got message that all client have to be disconnected for link-test. maybe the bridge is disconnected too?

Re: WNDAP360 in Bridge-Mode - no DHCP
We will check the configs. Have you tried this? Connecting over wifi to the AP2 to see clients are able to get the IP address?
DHCP-Server --- Switch --- AP1 ... .... AP2 --- wifi-.... Client

Re: WNDAP360 in Bridge-Mode - no DHCP
Hi,
with wireless acces to the bridge, dhcp is working. with wired access (directly connected to ethernetport or with switch between) dhcp is not working.

Re: WNDAP360 in Bridge-Mode - no DHCP
That is the expected behaviour. Main intention of dhcp server in WNDAP360 is that "provide an IP address only to the wireless clients" and not propagate/ give IP address to wired side.

Re: WNDAP360 in Bridge-Mode - no DHCP
Hi,
for now iam running both wds-nodes with beta-firmware. dhcp on wired interface is working. there are no issues.
is it possible to get some statistics from wds-bridge? link-quality, signal-strength or something else?
