Another SFP brand for Netgear SW
Hi All,
I'm thinking on purchasing 4X GSM7248-200NAS and connect them to one another on an existing LC cables that run's between our buildings.
Which SFP modules can i use with this netgear?
Can i purchase Cisco SFP-10G-SR?
Does Netgear offer 10Gb SFP module for a reasonble price?

As per data sheet of the GSM7248v2 here, the following SFP modules are supported: AGM731F, AGM732F and AGM733. Access the links below for more information:
AGM731F – Fiber 1000BASE-SX SFP GBIC Module
AGM732F – Fiber 1000BASE-LX SFP GBIC Module
AGM733 – ProSAFE Fiber 1000BASE-ZX SFP GBIC Module
I am not that familiar with the Cisco SFP-10G-SR and it may or may not work with the GSM7248v2. I strongly recommend you using NETGEAR SFP module(s) that are compatible with the GSM7248v2 mentioned above since that has been proven working with it.
About the price, I am not that really familiar with the prices. However, you may want inquire to any of the NETGEAR Authorized Resellers in your country.

You have suggested 1Gb SFP modules.
My goal is to connect the switches to one another at 10Gb.
I couldnt find the proper documentation regarding 10Gb SFP's.
I found this SFP http://www.netgear.com/business/products/switches/modules-accessories/axm761.aspx?cid=gwmng
But its 300 $ in amazon while a similar SFP from Cisco is only 60 $
Does netgear offers a reasonbly priced module?

The AXM761 is not compatible with the GSM7248v2. If you want to use the AXM761, you will need to use either of these NETGEAR Switch model series below:
