Factory Reset button location M4250

I have started using the M4250 series ov A/V switches. I have one that is not behaving as expected and after considerable time with tech support it was decided to performa factory reset. I could not stay on the phone with the tech for the procedure. When I got back to the project I can't, for the life of me, find a reset button on the device anywhere. The manual only gives a reset procedure if you can log into the device which I can't since that is the problem. I have looked for a picture of the device where it shows the lights and connections with descriptions but can't find that either. Anyone here know where I need to look? Thanks in advance.

Re: Factory Reset button location M4250

Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the LAN Switch products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with LAN Switch (FS,GS and M Series) products. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:

Please use this link to the main forum product list to review and choose where to make your posts.

Thank you.

Any progress on this?

Re: Factory Reset button location M4250

Curious which exact M4250 model we're facing here.

  • most (if not all from wally brain, but I can be wrong) have a dual-purpose factory reset button
  • all have a serial port and/or a USB-C based serial port
  • all have an OOB Ethernet port (OOB port: Computer on the 192.168.0.0/24 IP address, enter http://192.168.0.239 on a browser)
