GSM7224v2 Can't download new image

Hello, I just bought a GSM7224V2 switch which has 8.0.1.26 code in both image slots. I'm trying to upgrade to 8.0.1.36 and have tried going to 8.0.1.27 first. This switch is new to me and has the factory config on it. I'm using the default 169 address to connect via the GUI and am also connected via the cosole.

I have tries XMODEM and Download through the GUI of the new files. When doing HTTP tarnsfer through the GUI it gets to 18% and and fails. When I XMODEM the file is gets to 100% but then the term session acts like it doens't know the file ended and then times out and says transfer failed.

What's going on. Why can't I copy the new code to this switch?

    Hi Codewize1,

    Welcome to the community! :)

Since you are able the access the web-GUI, kindly try to reset the GSM7224v2 to factory defaults.

    a. On the web-GUI, go to Maintenance > Reset.

    b. Click Factory Default on the left section.

    c. Check the box then click Apply.  Wait for the GSM7224v2 to boot up on its own.

    d. After the GSM7224v2 has booted up, try to upgrade the firmware via the web-GUI again.

Furthermore, if ever the factory reset does not work via the web-GUI, you may execute the CLI command: clear config on the privileged EXEC mode.  Of course, you will need to have a console connection to the GSM7224v2.

Observe the behavior of the LED lights as well.

    Regards,

It had all been reset to factory before I started. As it turns out, it has something to do with Linux. I was working with Firefox on RedHat. When I tried the download with a Windows machine it worked fine so we're all set.
