Having trouble changing network management IP and subnet mask on GSM7224v2 switch
I am having trouble changing the network management IP and subnet mask on a Netgear GSM7224v2 switch.
When I use the network parms command the error I get says, "IP Address/Netmask entered conflicts with the configured IP Address/Netmask of a router interface."
A similar error happens in the GUI.
How can I change the the management IP and netmask?

Re: Having trouble changing network management IP and subnet mask on GSM7224v2 switch
Hi @bremke,
Welcome to the community! 🙂
In privileged EXEC mode, I suggest you to execute the command "network protocol none" then proceed with the network parms command.

Re: Having trouble changing network management IP and subnet mask on GSM7224v2 switch
In privileged EXEC mode the command "network protocol none" results in the IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, and Configured IPv4 protocol being reset as expected.
(GSM7224V2) #show network
Interface Status............................... Always Up
IP Address..................................... 0.0.0.0
Subnet Mask.................................... 0.0.0.0
Default Gateway................................ 0.0.0.0
IPv6 Administrative Mode....................... Enabled
IPv6 Prefix is ................................ FE80::E291:F5FF:FEA8:B370/64
Burned In MAC Address.......................... E0:91:F5:A8:B3:70
Locally Administered MAC address............... 00:00:00:00:00:00
MAC Address Type............................... Burned In
Configured IPv4 Protocol....................... None
Configured IPv6 Protocol....................... None
IPv6 AutoConfig Mode........................... Disabled
Management VLAN ID............................. 2
But the "network parms" command doesn't work. I get a message back saying "IP Address/Netmask entered conflicts with the configured IP Address/Netmask of a router interface.

Re: Having trouble changing network management IP and subnet mask on GSM7224v2 switch
If ever the GSM7224v2 switch is currently connected to the existing network, kindly disconnect it for the meantime then proceed with the network parms command.
Let us know the result.
