password reset on GS108PEv2

I have one GS108PEv2 switch that does not want to accept the default factory password "password" when trying to manage through the Prosafe Plus Configuration Utility. I know I have never logged into it to change it but I tried to reset it to the factory defaults with the recessed reset button, but that never seems to make the lights blink or reboot, thus does not change anything. Any ideas?

 

The switch seems to function fine other wise.

Which version of the ProSafe utility are you using?
If it's the latest, try downgrading. If it's not the latest, try upgrading.

Welcome to the community! 

 

That is a very good suggestion from @Retired_Member. Also, when resetting to defaults try holding the reset button for 30 seconds then turning it off afterwards.

Changing from version 2.2.6 to 2.2.5 seems to have worked. Thanks
