That is really strange.  Are you sure the issue isn't on the PC end?

I don't think so.

When you lose access from the PC, have you checked if you can access the web admin interface from the same PC?

Sorry, but I am not seeing what is wrong in this picture.

When you say you are losing - are you getting a password error, or is the NAS just not responding?

Have you tried restarting it (instead of doing an OS reinstall)?

Is it possible that you are trying to use two credentials for the same NAS from the same PC (with Explorer)?

Windows doesn't allow that - changing to a different credential will fail unless you do a net use * /del /y and then reconnect.

BTW, there is a trick if you need to use two credentials for some reason.  The PC treats the NAS hostname and the NAS IP address as two different machines.  So you can use one credential with the hostname, and a different credential with the IP address.

And if you have saved one set of credentials in the Windows credential manager, Windows may be logging you into the NAS with those credentials without you even realizing it, thus "locking out" any other.  If you use both the admin and a non-admin account via SMB, that can easily be the case.

Does https://nas-ip-address/admin work? (substituting the real IP address)?

Does opening CMD and entering net use * /del /y and then trying again help?

How about rebooting the PC?

If not, what specific error are you getting?

Try the net use /del /y first. If that doesn't help reboot the PC.

This is almost certainly a PC issue.

Is the NAS using a reserved DHCP address?

Ok, it looks like you have configured a static IP address on the NAS.

Normally I recommend using DHCP for the NAS, and reserving the IP address in the router instead (most routers have that feature).

One thing you do need to be careful about with a static address - you need to make sure that the router doesn't assign 192.168.1.100 to another device on the network.  That creates duplicate addresses, which can result in a lot of strange problems.

Have you also set up the router to make sure that the DHCP range doesn't include 192.168.1.100?  (Or any other static addresses that you might have assigned)?  If not, you should either do that, or instead reserve 192.168.1.100 for the NAS in the router.

This error is a PC issue.

Windows only allows you to access the NAS using one username/password.  If the PC already has a connection to the NAS using a different username/password, you will get this error.  The net use /del /y normally closes all those connections - which is why I always tell people to use that command before trying to map a NAS share to a drive letter.  But sometimes that command doesn't prevent the 1219 error.

You can also try substituting the NAS hostname for the IP address - Windows treats the hostname as a different device than the IP address.

Note that rebooting the PC will close all the connections, but there might be something happening at startup to reopen one.
