ReadyNAS 104 Ports Question
So the 104 has 2 USB 3.0 ports, 1 USB 2.0 port, and an eSATA port.
But virtually NO documentation as to how these ports can be used . . .
The 104 box clearly states that the eSATA port can be used with the EDA500 expansion chasis.
So the request is for Netgear to post/provide some more information about these ports or someone else to chime in.
Thank you!

Re: ReadyNAS 104 Ports Question
This is printed on the box? Or are you finding this somewhere else?

My understanding is that it cannot be used with the EDA500.
EDIT: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=70581&p=391956#p391955 shows where this is on the RN104 box. Hopefully Netgear can clarify this.

Re: ReadyNAS 104 Ports Question
It was likely on the gift box (retail shipping box) of the RN104 originally, then PM's decided to not allow it on the 100 series, but forgot to update the box itself, with software already ignoring it.
Everything I've seen so far on the EDA500 via limited docs out there, and via beta site, is that it is only supported on the 300/500 series.

Re: ReadyNAS 104 Ports Question
chirpa -- That makes sense given that the outside packaging probably was designed and printed some time before the product managers finalized everything.
Too bad that Netgear appears not to have their act totally together with these new NAS products. The missing, incomplete, and incorrect documentation and marketing collateral (sometimes difficult to find on the ReadyNAS website) mars what is a really nice product in construction and specs.
