Just purchased the xr500 and I'm having constant wifi signal drops. I have a Xbox onex that's hard wired and my internet is stable on that but anything on wifi loses connection. Current ISP is att Uverse gigapower, 1000mbps up and down Have tried a factory reset already In the logs there is a IP address 192.168.1.64 which is not showing as any item on network monitor which shows as a being blocked Smart TVs, smart lights, Android devices are all experiencing wifi drops and have to be manually connected again to only last a couple hours before they drop again
I jut purchased this router yesterday and are experiencing the same issue, the WiFi works, but the devices that are connected through a wired ethernet connection stopped connnecting after a few hours. On the router, all the ethernet lights are flashing simultenously and have to reboot the router for the wired connections to work again. I have 2 Xbox ONEs connected, a PS4 and Phillips HUE light receiver. I am about to return this, all of the devices worked with my previous router(ASUS RT-3100). Please help.
Thanks, I'll try the firmware. With my previous router, I didn't need to turn off Instant On on my Xbox, only one device has that setting enabled, do I have to keep that setting disabled?
I got the firmware updated, but it seems that the WiFi is still having issues. Sucks I can’t return this router as it’s been a few months since I had it. Is there a way Netgear would take it back and refund me as this has become a real inconvenience and seems these routers are lemons, released to soon to the public without proper testing.
Disconnecting issues or other issues? Only a small percentage of users seem to experience this issue and they all have the same devices that cause it, hence why we're working with those teams to get it resolved either on their end or our own.
Xbox One X is set to 'Instant On' and I get no disconnects using the latest firmware (V2.3.2.22). I'm also taking part in the Xbox Insider Program (Alpha).
