I am still getting  DHCP renewal changes every 10 minutes or so with dropouts with the hotfix.

My log is full of lease changes and when lease change is happening I lose net. I have factory reset by button on back of router and updated firmware to hotfix still happening .

Set Static IPs for your devices, does that resolve the issue?

Updated XR500 with the hotfix firmware approx 2.5 hrs ago. Just lost all internet for all devixes, wireless and wired. Modem, HITRON SHAW CABLE, is currently still working and still connected to the internet. I do have a lot of devices attached,

2 laptops
2 tablets
2 phones
5 echos
2 xbox ones
1 ps3
1 xbox 360
1 pc - wired
Thermostat
2 great fits 2

I will try and set the xbox ones to fully shut down and not just sleep.

Will keep an eye out.

I've had non-stop issue since I got the XR500 almost 6 months ago.  Just gave up today and went back to my old Linksys router.  Internet speed issues, internet dropping, work vpn would no longer connect, random phone apps on wifi would not connect to the internet without a vpn and the numerous other issues.  If you plug in the thing and get lucky it could be a 5-star router.  Right now it's the biggest waste of a router I've ever invested in.  There is a reason that Netgear has had a stigma around them for bad home routers.  Nothing has changed since I was a kid, sadly.  No support after the first 30days without paying, slow fixes that don't actually fix anything.  Should have just returned it right when the issues started, that's on me.

 

I love what NetDuma is doing with DumaOS but I don't believe netgear was the right partner.  Hopefully thing work out for other folks here.

I have also started to have contant drop outs with my internet now also over the past 2 weeks. Have to unplug and replug atleast once or twice a day.

I have tried alot to get the router to work proper also I have even tried like 3 different modems with no luck currently using cm1000.

Ok so I remembered having an issue with a past router that had DoS protection that would cause internet disconnects from time to time. Thpught what the hell turned it off on the XR500 and so far so good. Day 2 now without a single disconnect. Will monitor further.

Thank you but this was not a solution unfortunately. I'm a DHCP lease change in the logs and then moments later the internet drops for a moment

Is there an update on any fixes? I have four days to return it and I'm very tempted to since I can't play any competitive games or I'll take a loss simply (which also means I waste my teams time and I grt temporarily banned from matchmaking) because the router doesn't work correctly

@Vinotauro - I just replied in your other thread, but have you contacted NETGEAR support? Drop-outs should not be happening. If you contact them let us know your Case ID and we can follow this up for you

 

@Danny80916 - same question to you Danny. Have you contacted NETGEAR support too?

Help, have instant on off. No internet wired or wireless. Did 3 reboots, no internet. Bypassed the router and have internet 😞

Do a factory reset using the button in the back of the router. Hold for 30 seconds and let go, then connect to interface and go through the setup wizard. Are you on the beta firmware?
