Netgear Nighthawk dropping 5G wifi connection - Fixed when restarted
Hi
I was just wondering whether anyone else has experienced similar issues.
I have my 5Ghz wifi connection connected to my desktop and recently noticed that it sometimes drops out. The 2.4ghz is still up (although high ping).
After i restart the router, everything is fine and the wifi is working perfectly.
Is this a common issue and if so, how can I fix?

There a model# of this router? R or RAX# something?
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
What channel configurations are currently set on the router?

Connected how? A USB adapter of some sort? These can be notoriously flaky, especially if it is a cheap Windows thing.
That the 2.4 GHz signal is still there suggests that there may be a distance between the desktop and the router. If not you would probably go for a wired connection.
